Star Wars Propaganda Is Open!

Guess I wasn't approved..??

Hey everyone,

*PLEASE READ*

We've been having a bit of trouble with people not following through with the registration process. Once you have registered, you will get a follow up email with a link that you MUST click on to put your account into the que for activation.
If you tried to register but have not been activated after a few hours (if I happen to be at the computer when you register, you should only have a few minutes delay), then most likely you didn't click on the follow up link.

Thanks,
Gino

GREAT GREAT site Gino. It seems its attracting the cream of the Star Wars props world aswell and a few would bes like me lol:lol

Its kind of sad that some who banned you from their site for reasons totally personal have decided to attack you for not allowing them onto your site. Obviously, you will be hard pressed to give them access after that but to turn around and say they'd registered as a bet is childish. If these were real men they'd apologise, allow you access to their site and then you'd do the same for them. Just an idea but I doubt anything will come of it.

Would be's like you??! Cyb, you are anything BUT a would be.

Thanks to everyone who has signed up. My expectations for the number of registered members has long been exceeded so I am more than pleased. I hope that it helps revitalize the interest in Star Wars related props as well as getting us back to a forum showcasing builder's efforts.

As far as registration goes, out of the almost 200 people who have signed up so far, there have been less than 5 people who I did not feel comfortable allowing to sign up for one reason or another. If you are one of those people, you should have received a rejection notice. If you are one of those people and want to discuss it with me in private, you can email me directly.

If you haven't received a rejection notice and still have not been activated, then there is a problem somewhere. If this is the case, please contact me via email and I'll do my best to try to figure out what went wrong.

Okay. NOW, I've been rejected.

Dear micdavis,

Unfortunately your registration at Star Wars Propaganda Forums did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted.

Sorry,
Star Wars Propaganda Forums

I guess some folks can't handle differing opinions.

Sad.

If I came across as childish, joining for a bet, I apologise to Gino and the members here that support that viewpoint, in hindsight it was an error as I knew the score, we all make mistakes naturally.
However, you are a bit biased Phil and failed to notice why I brought this to the public eye, it was the content in those emails, not being refused entry.

Also please recognise the Prop Den did not ban Gino for personal reasons. Gino was with us for some time and there were regular clashes on and off with other members, personally I only had 2 debates myself with him in which there is no bad feeling regarding our disagreements, Gino is Gino, he likes to cause an uproar as he often does here, we can live with it to a point.

It was a staff decision based on the complaints we had, additionally we have a 3-step system which is fair, in which Gino reached that limit. Funny how the banning of TE is not as up for discussion as much and in fact some would say we were far more lenient towards Gino in the beginning. Gino and his friends here can believe what they want to but the facts are there like them or not.

It's not really Den policy to be explaining ourselves, especially on other forums as it's not open for discussion but I wanted to explain our side. The Den is one of the friendlist and informative forums around so I don't appreciate this tainted image which is untrue.

This is the last time I bring this up, people can always mail me if they wish.

Why bother? People are just gonna think what they wanna think anyways. And it's not like The Den was the only place to ban GINO for disruptive behavior.

Done is done and now he has his own forum. Good luck with that.

Basically, I was banned from Prop Den because of what they considered 'trolling'. Normally, trolling is when someone comes into a thread and posts a baiting comment completely unrelated to the subject being discussed.
I never did that once.

What I did do was make a post about Vader helmets dispelling a lot of myths about them (that the people on Prop Den love to debate about endlessly and uselessly). This point I made had a direct effect on the powers that be there due to the fact that they were financially and emotionally tied to an item that I was pretty much (in their eyes) de-valuing.

Any other reason they offer is BS.

It's not the first time that unpopular info has upset the powers that be on a prop forum, and it's hardly the first time that I've taken heat for doing so.
I'd be more apologetic if I had a history of being wrong in those 'unpopular' views.

Do you really want to bring all this up here as we can easily continue with why you were banned and it was not because you had something to say about fanmade helmets, but I guess you like to entertain that idea so much that it has become truth for you.

Some sites allow free speech more than others...i.e. the RPF:thumbsup and look how successful this site is. If you are telling me that you are banning people because they don't agree with your ideals and calling it disruptive... as I understand, then thats very very unfair! :cool

Where you there? Then why do you comment?

Also... the RPF bans people too for being disruptive, so I do not understand your argument.

Absolutely not as this is not the place for it.
The ONLY reason I brought it up was in defense of myself.

Any more posts in this thread from Prop Den admin/mods in my eyes would be considered 'trolling'.

I'm sure some of the stuff I said over there WAS disruptive to a lot of people.
No one likes to hear about information that makes them feel bad about their financially/emotionally invested props.
Remember the AA/SDS situation? Same story, different board.

Theres a trip wire that is much more sensitive on some sites than others. Anyway, I think a lot of it is down to clashes in personailty to be honest. :rolleyes

Gino Who made you king? How wrong have you been before on this forum alone. Want me to post the threads to prove a point huh? Come on, get over yourself.

I'm not claiming to always be right about everything.
But I don't make a big stink about something unless I KNOW I'm right in what I'm saying.

Anyway, I judge artisans by their work, not their online personas. Something that would serve you better as well.
