Oh and Qui, the reason I am wound up is he was gutless enough to try and be brave behind closed doors, don't go being naiive.

It's not about being naive at all. What it is about is one person kept their vitriol private and the other decided to air the conflict for all to see instead of keeping it to himself. You could have easily said "Eh, I am not invited...screw it", but now it comes off as a childish rant about not being allowed in whatever clique.

Yes it could be percieved that way, but I am friends with enough people to know otherwise and to know that I would be banned as soon as I joined, which is fine. Why do you think I didn't even go under an alias? I used my name deliberately. Why do you think I posted here before I joined?

I joined for a bet, a laugh, and we knew the outcome anyway. It's the emails that HE should be man enough and professional enough about. that should not take place, thats why I'm airing it for all to see, thats the point here, like it or not.

There is Nothing Gino can offer me anyhow.

Yeah. I don't know anything about these "mystery emails",...but it does sound like someone is past their nappy-time.

Thanks for all the kind words and thanks to everyone who has signed up. I want it to be THE place to go to see the latest and greatest in accurate SW props and info.

As far as me being selective as to who joins, everyone is welcome. I've already approved a handful of people whom I've had 'history' with. I'm sure there will be more.
Did the people who were involved in propagating my BS ban from their forum actually think they would be welcome at my place? How thick can someone possibly be?

Back to the original topic-

As I was taking pics throughout the whole thing over the last few months, it killed me not to post pics here. I just knew if I did, that there would be nothing new in the gallery by the time it opened.
I'll always be glad to post pics here on the RPF as well as other forums.

Anyway, I'd love to hear more thoughts about the gallery and the overall design of it as well as the forum.

And if you haven't registered yet, come on in the water is accurate.

We've been having a bit of trouble with people not following through with the registration process. Once you have registered, you will get a follow up email with a link that you MUST click on to put your account into the que for activation.
If you tried to register but have not been activated after a few hours (if I happen to be at the computer when you register, you should only have a few minutes delay), then most likely you didn't click on the follow up link.

Nice site, although just a couple of things I noticed from the CoC:

DISCIPLINARY ACTION AND BANNINGS
It is completely at the site owner/administrator's discretion as to whether or not to take action in any given situation. Also, if the administrator feels that disciplinary action or banning is warranted for reasons included or NOT included in this CoC, he reserves the right to do so.

What's the point of having a CoC if you don't list all the guidelines for banning? I guess you'll just make it up as you go along and dictate to people on a whim...

A FINAL NOTE
It is important to note that this site is not run by democracy. All actions, decisions, judgments, etc... are made by the site owner/administrator and is the final word on all matters relating to this site. ....That is why all of the above is based on the personal taste and perspective of the site owner/administrator.

And you are actually controlling what people can show or not show?

THE CONTENT OF ALL PROJECT RUNS/INTEREST THREADS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR BEFORE POSTING. Generally, project runs/interest threads regarding a specific prop component is allowed as long as they are only a component and not a complete prop. The administrator has the final word on what is or isn't allowed.

What's the point then? You actually will dictate what kind of interest threads can be shown? You call that a community?

And then there's the description of his Vader helmets....

Well you already posted all your Vader helmets and suits here so they are still fair game and it is patently not the case that your ANH or ESB helmet are from original production pieces or molds. And which is it, production molds or original helmets? I suppose you have access to both?

You put others to task for their claims of authenticity, now the same rigor of inquiry can be put toward your own claims of authenticity.
