Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

Also, if you ever played Dark Forces II from 1997, the main baddie is a former Inquisitor named Jerec. They didn't do the whole "3rd Sister, 5th Brother, etc" stuff back then. I always had the impression they were more of an intelligence organization of Force sensitives sniffing out Jedi for Vader rather than taking them out themselves though but maybe I'm wrong. Of course, none of that is canon now, if it ever was.
Good call man that game was awesome!! You had to beat the game on light side and dark side to get different endings.

It really was. I adored that game and frankly I miss the late '90s era of LucasArts! Haha

There's a part of me that keeps expecting Jerec to make an appearance in the new canon but nothing thus far! It would've been kinda neat if he had been in Reva's place in the Kenobi show, minus the redemption aspect at the end. Maybe he was disgraced but managed to survive into the post-Empire era years later.

Because the Inquisitorious was all dead or gone by 0 BBY.

Grand Inquisitor dies in 4 BBY in a duel with Kanan Jarrus
Second Sister dies in 14 BBY after being executed by Vader
Third Sister deserts the Inquisitorious in 9 BBY
Fourth Sister disappeared from the Galaxy around 2 BBY following an encounter with Rebel Commander Lina Graf
Fifth Brother dies in 3 BBY at Maul's hand
Sixth Brother dies in 18 BBY by Ahsoka's hand
Seventh Sister dies in 3 BBY at Maul's hand
Eighth Brother dies in 3 BBY again by Maul's hand
Ninth Sister dies in 14 BBY by Cal Kestis
Tenth Brother dies in 18 BBY after his Purge Troopers Order 66 programming is reactivated against him
And the other 2 unnamed Inquisitors are killed by Vader in 14 BBY

Their stories are self contained in the pre-OT timelin

Means absolutely nothing to me.

And?

Because you can totally walk up to Vader and stab him in the back. Oh wait, she tried that, and it didn't work. Not surprising. This Darth Vader we're talking about.

She's been after Obi-Wan. She's counting on Obi-Wan being an emotional distraction for Vader. If she's going to stand even a remote chance at trying to stab Vader in the back.

And she'd so consumed by her hate, everything and everyone is meaningless to her. She doesn't care who or how many people are going to die in her quest for revenge.
Yeah, walk up behind Vader and fire up the saber two feet behind him and take a massive swing telegraphing the entire thing instead of just putting it an inch away and just turning it on. Oh wait.....in this universe you can take an entire blade right through your spine and be totally fine anyway.
So her whole deal was to be after Obi Wan to get to Vader for the trauma of Vader killing her Jedi friends and the way to do this was to hunt and kill Jedi. Incredible. That poor woman who's hand she removed was a remarkable pianist you know.........

I did play that game, though I confess to not remembering Jerec's backstory

Perfect, you played the game and don’t remember it fully.Welcome to the club. I almost forgot about the valley of the Jedi where Kyle had to go.
Haha, I played through it on PC maybe 20 years ago. The thing I remember most about it was bad FMV cutscenes and being so bad at mouse and keyboard controls that I used a USB flightstick to play through it.

Rogue One is one of favorites Star Wars media since the sale. But it's not without mixed feelings. Because Rogue One < Kyle Katarn. I take Kyle over anything else.
When I watched The Force Awakens, in the scene when Rey reached Luke Skywalker, I so hoped that a contingent of Jedi would emerge from hiding around them, with Kyle Katarn first in line.

The emotions of such a scene could have made up just a little bit for the crapfest that had preceded that moment.

But no...

At least they kept the name close with Jan Ors/Jyn Erso.
Yet, they used nothing of Jan Ors' character or back story for Jyn Erso. Cassian Andor got more of those traits.

We'll call it "Old Farts Who Loved LucasArts"
I'm in! The other day, I was blown away by when I found out that LucasArts had practically invented the flight sim game and the first-person shooter back in the 1980's (do the flight-sim upside down, making the landscape into a cave ! ). And then their progression of point-and-click adventure games ... Oh man.

Best Star Wars since ESB? Yep, agreed.
Certainly the Best movie...
I think a lot of these new franchise suffer from HD clarity, everything looks so pristine!

Even the dirt looks clean..
RO had a gorgeous look about it... I got tingles of 77 when we saw the city of Jeda..

It literally screamed Starwars!

Soft focus, panoramic views are just lush!

We certainly got a few of these in the last Ep of Kenobi, I wonder how much was down to Ewan?

I thought I'd rewatch Ep 6 to see if it was a Fluke with the Feels..

It still got me, even though I knew what was coming.

I like Rogue one in a lot of ways but Jyn Erso is absolutely one of the worst, most poorly conceived and acted characters in SW. If you have to entirely ignore the lead in a movie what does that says about it?

Speaking of which I find it strange that some fans are ok with ignoring particular content in films or shows that doesn't exactly "toot their horns" but then they get offended or make comment when other fans chose to ignore entire films or shows like it's a bad thing. "You can't ignore canon, it's still canon." Right lol.
Solo's still canon right?
I really quite like it but Tandy Newton's Wig!... That could be an Alien entity all on its own.
