I get what you're saying, I just disagree. They could have probably written a version of this story where Kenobi was "ok" 10 years after RotS, but I think the route they went makes him more human, and therefore relatable and interesting. The toolbox for making things interesting, as far as writers are concerned, generally leans into making your characters more human (even if they're basically superhuman) and giving them problems to deal with and overcome.PTSD should break a normal human, the things he's had to deal with are unimaginable. But Kenobi is a Jedi Master in a fictional universe where it seems logical one of the most powerful Masters in the galaxy, who has spent his life in devotion to the force would have emotional, mental and spiritual tools to deal with PTSD that regular people don't have. He shouldn't be as broken as he is in this IMO.
I guarantee they had discussions about what Obi Wan's mental state was going to be when this series picked up, they didn't happen upon this outcome by default. So far, I trust them to land the arc.
