Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

The head doesn’t look great but that’s been discussed ad nauseum so I’ll say he’s not as bad as I feared,
though it’s a moot point now with him dead
. I’d take him over Reva any day. I feel like they were definitely going for a Christoph Walz/Inglorious Basterds thing with him.
I mostly meant in reference to what's in your spoiler tags.
is he not supposed to be the same grand inquisitor from rebels? We already saw how that guy died, and I'm foggy on the timeline here

What a waste of Rupert Friend. He is such a good actor, with a consistently strong performance in everything he has done before this ...

... and here he plays a cartoon character that dies in the second episode.

Being a man of a certain vintage, when I saw the silhouette of the Inquisitor's Shuttle, View attachment 1579812

I couldn't help but wonder if it was a nod to this magnificent hunk of spacecraft... View attachment 1579813

Neat tribute if it was intentional.
Closer to that of a Snowspeeder, I think.

You all are silly....
Revenge of the Sith is 19 BBY
Obi-Wan Kenobi is 9 BBY
Rebels is 5 BBY

The Grand Inquisitor was stabbed in 9 BBY but was chasing crew of the Ghost in 5 BBY........ spoiler......he's not dead.

"General Kenobi: Years ago, you served my father in the Clone Wars... Oh, and you also saved me from kidnappers. I guess I should have led with that. Anyway..."
Everything in Star Wars gets recontextualized at some point. Leia's plea is really formal, possibly feigning not knowing each other. I mean later on the Death Star she shows more recognition. Even knows his undercover name.
"Look, I've got your R2-unit and I'm here with Ben Kenobi!"
"Ben Kenobi? He's here!?"

Recontextualized, retconned, however you define it, all it boils to is that continuity doesn't matter. Just because it happens doesn't mean it's good for the story. People get attached to ideas only to have them changed ad nauseum and it's hard for some to get invested when that happens. It's okay for stories to end.

I think the first 2 Episodes where a little bit boring. And when I see Obi Wan now I have this bad feeling...Luke-TLJ-Feeling...I really hope they can change that with the next Episodes.
I have really no reason to watch this first 2 Episodes again.Sorry thats my feeling about it now.

Wow starting to look like Obi-wan is going to get the same treatment Luke received in the ST.At least so far Reva is following the mold of she is smarter and better than her counterparts, almost as if she will be the star.

im going to spoiler tag for another 24 hours

so you got the impression obi wan cut himself off from the force too?

I also got the feeling that he hasn't used the force in forever when he goes to catch little leia..

That young Jedi was able to find him though. I would have thought that he maybe felt his presence on the planet.
