Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

I dig 10 years after the fall of the Jedi.

I... am not sure how Hayden Christenson could be used as vader though. perhaps they plan a good amount of vader's own thoughts? plenty of him with the helmet off? It'd be a waste to just throw him in the suit and then voice over.

...
...maybe flahsbacks to times obiwan and anakin had together? I would love to see some well done live action examples of obiwan and anakin actually being friends and traveling jedi together. Hayden can do it I think, he just needs a good actual script this time around.

If Hayden is in then forget the original plan of setting it after ROTS. Just set it during the Clone Wars and tell the adventures we imagined these two had that was sorely missed in the prequels.

As much as I loved Ewan as Obi-Wan and having Hayden back as Anakin it could prove to be a nightmare for the continuity of the first six saga films. The last they saw of one another was at the climax of ROTS, and then separated until ANH. Plus having Obi-Wan go on adventures off world (Tatooinne) could also lessen the impact of ANH and diminish the importance of him going into hiding to watch over Luke from a distance.

I'm very hesitant about this idea as a whole. I know it's too early on to make a final judgment but I have a bad feeling about this.....

It’s the same cruddy direction taken with the Clone Wars show. ROTS clearly implies that AOTC was the last time Anakin and Dooku had faced. Show upends that. Same with Grievous. They can’t help themselves, they’d rather play with their action figures than write something that makes sense. Same goes the ST, now that I think about it. This is why we shouldn’t have “fans” working on this stuff, we should have filmmakers.

How will I qualify for my Disney+ Basic Necessities Package once they’ve taken over the Earth if I haven’t seen all the slop they put out? I’ll be put down for insurrection.

You do realize the potential this has to ruin what we know of the character? I mean, sure it's early so we won't know for sure what they will do, but it doesn't concern anyone?

Obi-Wan Kenobi is an icon and the prospect of seeing more of him on the surface sounds great but it could easily be a very divisive choice. Expressing a concern over the direction of a beloved character isn't a crime, nor is it helpful to tell people not to watch it. The Mandalorian may be good but it doesn't mean that everything they touch will now be gold just because their SW television content so far is good. Their SW films still suck hard.

I can't help but wonder if some of it will feature melencholy Vader, pining, and Obi-Wan is doing some low-key Force juju to shield Luke from his dad's unknowing mental reaching...

Except for the fact they’re 20 years older now.
