Done / Completed Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit - now upgraded!

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

That makes sense. I guess I phrased that wrong... I was thinking more like "here's who I have on the list who are paid and ready" so that way if someone thought they paid or something it might highlight it.

Any way you want to do it is fine... I'm just tickled to be able to get one:thumbsup

I'll try and get the full list up in the next couple of days when I'm back home.

Oh, and so that everyone knows: IF you mess up or break a part for some reason I will get you a new one for the cost of shipping.

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

Finally had a chance to get to Disneyland's Launch bay and was able to snap off a few pictures of Rey's blaster.

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

Thanks! It was difficult to get pictures from different angles because of how it's placed in the display case. Disneyland was also extremely busy yesterday and it felt odd trying to take so many photos without getting in people's way.

Haha I felt the same way last year at FIDM frantically taking photos of costumes from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

Quick update (I'm at work).

Had a small issue with the printer the other day so I had to take it down and give it a tuneup, putting me a couple days behind this week. However, I'm still well on the way to having a second batch to ship out soon.

Still accepting orders.

To clarify ('cause I get a lot of PMs about it) : $235 SHIPPED WORLDWIDE

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

My kit arrived today. Gorgeous parts. What printer are you using,? Maybe I missed that info. Really nice quality.

Any chance that you create some building instructions? I mean, the kit is quite straight forward, but I think we all would feel a little bit safer with some instructions.

Glad to hear it got there safe! I use (very tuned) Ultimaker equipment but really, it's not just down to the printer. It took a LOT of tweaking to get it to produce stuff I was happy with.

I'll be uploading a diagram on how to set up the trigger, which is really the only complex part (and even so, isn't that hard). Will try to get that diagram up this weekend.

In the meantime, this image pretty much shows how it goes together. You can screw most of it and keep in mind that the metal barrel tube (not shown in the render of course) should NOT extend too far into the flash hider if you want it screen-accurate.

Prime can we see picture ? Thanks

The kits looks like this (except with a slightly more accurate set of grips):

Some kits up till now have had a few gold metallic parts (the silver is often out of stock and the gold is the only plastic that is just as good) but I now have a healthy supply of the silver, so will be using that.

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

I figured that it was an Ultimaker. Owned one until some time ago by myself and also tweaked around. You can also see that you took your time to put the pieces into the right orientation on the bed.

Sorry, did not take any pictures, and I already started to paint the kit.

Thanks, I'm glad it got here safe! A couple small things before you start gluing and/or screwing: you still have a little support material in the hammer (the little square thingie... basically the only support I needed to use on the kit) and you should turn the grips around. (You probably know that already, just saying it to be safe!)

Re: Star Wars Ep7: REY'S BLASTER kit

Could I get one please!

Absolutely. Just sent you a PM.

I'm home sick at the moment, which means the printer is running 24/7 again for a couple days! : ) Started cranking out Poe blaster kits as well for those that got them.
