To me, the SE's are incomplete until Alderaan gets screen time in ANH
IIRC, Alderaan gets about 1.25 seconds screen time in ANH.... just before the Death Star blows it into next week! :lol
Jabba was smaller in ANH because he was on Jenny Craig at the time.
Wow! I hope she survived having Jabba the Hutt on top of her ?! Although, as a Brit, I don't know precisely who Jenny Craig is.... I suspect she's the kind of Info-mercial weight-loss nutcase, that I'd quite happily watch 2 Tonne Jabba slither on top of.... :lol
Thankyouverymuch... thankyouverymuch... I'm here all week... be sure to try the Salad Bar before you leave...
On a deadly serious note...
I've been looking forward to the OT Star Wars movies on High Definition optical disc for a LLOOOONNG time. I knew it wouldn't be the Star Wars I grew up with as a kid, but Lucas appears hell-bent on turnimng the franchise into a Disney-fied, pale imitation of it's former self... so I had kinda accepted that it would be the Special Editions :unsure
BUT.... man, am I glad I still have the HD satellite broadcasts of ANH, TESB and ROTJ which were shown by Sky back in January 2007.
They are saved on my Sky HD+ Personal Video Recorder's hard drive, and I imagined I'd be able to finally delete them after I get my hands on the SW Blu Rays.
But if Lucas has been huffing his beard wax again, and the Blu Ray incarnations of our favourite movies is further diluted.... then I'm hella glad I still have the (2004 DVD spec) movies in HD on my satellite PVR. Sure it may be 1080i Interlaced picture, as opposed to 1080p Progressive which the Blu-Rays will be.... but I don't think it amounts to a hill of beans when viewed on a 42" LCD television.
So Roll-On 12th September (Very unusual for us in the UK to get a release BEFORE the US) when I will most-definitely be buying the SW Blu Rays! :thumbsup
.....But, I just
know that I will be watching the Original Trilogy from behind my hands... expecting Howard the Duck to have replaced Admiral Ackbar in the Rebel Briefing scene in ROTJ :eek :wacko
Cheers,
John
