I already have the HDTV rips saved on my computer, I can see the special ed editions in HD anytime. Until I can get the original cuts in HD there's no need for me to spend money.
I'd bet it's close enough for cigars, but broadcast HD, is not the same quality as BR media right? Or is it all just 1's and zeros? Have you trimmed the commercials out?
I'd probably describe it as somewhere between DVD and Blu-ray in overall quality. Like watching HD on Netflix, it's highly-compressed 720p.I'd bet it's close enough for cigars, but broadcast HD, is not the same quality as BR media right?
Got those and better, they still don't compare on a 65" DiamondVision with a reasonably good player.
They just don't.
I also skipped any DVD purchase. So if Han shoots Greedo (first or second shouldn't even enter into it) and corrected all the techinical problems from the DVD, it's a go for me. Lucky me.
Don't get your hopes up. The 2004 DVD changed this to sort of a simultaneous shot with Greedo shooting a split second sooner. Still doesn't explain how the hell Greedo could miss at point blank range, but yeah, he does get off a shot, and no, that's not gonna change outside of an archival version of Star Wars.
He misses because the blaster bolt comes out of the barrel at like a 45 degree angle. It's insanely stupid.
Yeah, but it's admittedly an improvement from the '97 version where Han's head visibly "slides" to the left.
Ugh, I guess. I would like to think even SE supporters can see why Greedo shooting is pointless though...
