Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

Just nitpicking.

Did Tay Kolma really say, "It was ever thus"? I don't know if the writer was just trying to be clever, but too many Earth culture references test my capacity to suspend disbelief. A single reference isn't going to break my back but, later, Cassian knocks out, "shave and a haircut". Stop. Please.

Then there's the shot of that man eating pistachio nuts. I was willing to overlook the blue ramen in the takeaway box but pistachio nuts? How did pistachio nuts get to a galaxy far, far away?

I'm getting flashbacks to ROTJ when I first heard stormtroopers shouting, "Freeze!" *groan*

You can accept humans but not nuts? There are most likely WAY more nuts on other planets than humans in this universe

I made my first SW sigh decades ago when Han said "Hell" ... I've gotten over it. I think it's called suspension of relief ;)

But yeah, too much blue food. It does not look very appetizing to me

I'd probably barf in the SW universe

Are you suggesting that pistachios migrate?

Fortunately when Han says, "Then I'll see you in Hell" in ESB it was an isolated incident so I was able to get past it.
But ROTJ, as I recall, was so chock full of oddball and out of character dialogue it drove me out of my teenage geek mind.

The latest episode took it to a new level for me. I am impressed with the writing and especially the pacing. Sure, a few annoying phrases like Army and Navy used in the empire security meeting but what is ever perfect. I loved the beach and follow up court scenes. Everything really worked in this episode and raised the tension and the stakes for our reluctant hero. Knowing that he ultimately gives his life for the rebellion gave this episode a certain sadness that adds to the experience for me. This is great Star Wars.

There *is* a clear Storm Trooper in the trailer:

very different from the Clone Troopers seen multiple times:

Here is another Imperial Stormtrooper shown in the Andor trailer. It's the same armor & blaster from Rogue One, SOLO, The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The new standard Disney Era Stormtrooper.

Finally caught up and this series is what Rogue One should have been

Definitely the best Disney era Star Wars offering

The thing I like the best is it is not just realistic gritty or dark or whatever you might want to call it for the sake of being edgy, but it deservingly so because of the story

You could take this out of the Star Wars universe and it would still make an engaging story

Great episode. Everything is progressing well, great dialogue, well written, characters are developing, good acting and excellent story.

I wasn't aware that Holonet News was broadcast on video and viewed on TV like devices, seems a bit too real world. I thought they used holo projectors and audio for the most part. Not a huge deal though.

I actually LIKED the TV. In my mind, they're staying with the way the tech would've looked had this been made before ANH, Much like how the Death Star plans used the same 'computer' graphics as in '77. The holograms used for wanted posters & the DS plans in ROTS pulled me out much more.
