Star Wars Ahsoka (tv series)

Yes, and he can bring the broken disappointed character easily.

Did we not see anything about how Ezra hihacked a ship and escaped the Chinera or I missed it while doing something else? Like blinking or I might fall asleep I’m not sure.

Also I love how the Tie Fighters killed Ahsoka’s ship with one shot. They make the other ships look even more pathetic :D

...and he flew to the Mon Calamari ship while WEARING STORMTROOPER ARMOR, and got off the ship with his helmet on, just so he could remove it for the big reveal for Hera?!

You know, the New Republic would NOT let a rogue Imperial shuttle land in a hangar bay. They would send out scout ships to intercept, detain, and obtain identification (have they NEVER run a military before?)

If you have to mentally compartmentalize this (or any of these new shows/ movies) from the other installments, then this franchise is pretty much a series of anthologies. Not really related to each other- just existing in the same universe. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but I find it laughable when they try to brand this as a cohesive saga when they're constantly breaking their own continuity.

Yeah but that would require some actual competence to still be at Lucasfilm, along with them hiring writers that have more than a liberal arts degree and a 12yr olds understanding of the world around them.. and based off who they seem to wanna continue to hire, we’re just never gonna get that again…

Andor was clearly a total goddamn accident of a series that was never actually intended to be or play in the way that it did in the end, and the incredibly sad and harsh reality coming from Ahsoka is that Disney is only going to hear all the goddamn seal clapping for this souless hollow shell of series that has no deeper meaning beyond “ReMeMbEr THIS??” while masquerading around as “story telling”, meaning we will most likely NEVER get another Andor again… not that this Ahsoka garbage and Andor could possibly be within the same universe..
The rules, tone, and the general maturity levels of the universes in which these two shows exist just simply Can Not be one in the same Universe. They are akin to oil and water

Sorry for the venom, and I genuinely mean no insult towards those who are able to find enjoyment and substance in Ahsoka.. Im actually happy you were able to enjoy it. It just makes me really depressed sometimes at how incredibly well written and executed SW once was, a long long time ago, and how far far away we are from that now.
I get it. Doctor Who from the 60”s - 80’s, with its cardboard sets and bubble wrap aliens was FAR superior to the stuff that we get today. Because…stories.

Exactly, last year I subscribed to BritBox & rewatched all of Troughton, Pertwee & Baker episodes & was blown away by the level of storytelling.
The wobbly sets etc didn’t bother me at all…the quality in the show was the storytelling.
Another thing I loved was the space to allow character development, the many episodes of each story felt like chapters in a book

So this is something Im curious about. For those of you who do enjoy this for what it is, which would you prefer?
More CGI Zeb?
Or a Zeb made like the practical creature/animatronics of old? Perhaps in line with the quality of those creatures seen in the 04/08 del Toro HELLBOY films.

Its truly baffling to me how we went from TV shows like Dr Who, or even Farscape or Stargate SG1 that had an average of 20+ episodes per season to tell a story or stories, to all of a sudden we’re LUCKY to get an 8 episode season with 5-10 min of “story” per episode…

How on earth did we trade storytelling.. what is perhaps one of the most important aspects of Human society over the millennia… for Snake Oil?

Hell Id be cheering with glee if we even got 2005-2008 Dr Who story telling quality…

Well, they let the same exact shuttle land once before and then half the crew got murdered. Might as well double check that it’s the same people doing it!

One “theatre” vibe was also a huge amount of wide shots. For this to be a personal story between Ahsoka and these people impacting her, we certainly got a lot for variety of loose wide shots. And a peculiar amount of butt shots too.

Going back to the Bendu & it's prophecy against Thrawn, I think it had a double meaning & will reveal how he dies.

In the originals Thrawn trilogy, he was assassinated by his personal bodyguard. In REBELS, the Bendu said he saw Thrawn's ultimate defeat with "many arms wrapped around him in a cold embrace", & it seemed to be fulfilled when the purgill wrapped him up & jumped away. I'm thinking it'll eventually be fulfilled when some reanimated Night Troopers turn against him.

I've never even dipped a toe into the world of Dr. Who, but I agree with your sentiments about story being paramount above all else. I can overlook bad effects/ cheap production as long as the story/ characters are well developed and meaningful. The flashiest effects and best production design in the world can't save a poorly written script. I understand film and television are a collaborative process, and that an actor or director can bring something great out of a script that may not have originally been there, but those cases are usually a well written story with some flaws that need tweaking, rather than an overall bad concept.

By contrast, some story ideas are idiotic. Just stupid from the blank page- or worse yet- merely a draft that's been put into production before any serious revision. I'm well aware of the pressure writers are under being strong armed by the studio and that a script will get rewritten 4-5 times before it ever makes it to the set for filming, but you'd think with that many people involved that they could get it right or catch continuity issues and fix them before the cameras roll. Some of the problem is that so many stories now act as a catchall for setting up another series, continuing a story that's long over, or introducing too many plot elements/ characters, that it doesn't leave enough room for things to develop naturally.

The main protagonists have no room to move when they're crowded out by cameos from other supporting characters.

The Enoch we deserve.

It was flanked by 2 A-wings. Gonna have to assume they checked his identity.

Hello everyone_ there is something of interest about the nomads in Peridea? They have strong samurai reminiscences... It's a shame there's nothing about them... apparently nowhere. Here some picts
