Star Wars Ahsoka (tv series)

Maybe the title of the thread can be amended to include Dave Filoni's name in the title. Mainly so that those who don't like him can have the grace to not accidently watch & then bitch about "cartoons".

Who am I kidding...

Filoni's name in the title would be a combination magnet/bullseye.

Seriously though... This looks amazing. That older Inquisitor seems to have a very stiff fighting style, so I'm curious if he's just 'efficient'. LOL

Oh look, more bastardized EU....

I wish I could get excited about this new stuff. Because it looks gorgeous. As much as love Ahsoka and Rebels, pushing off a conclusion to her story to another show....again...it's dumb.

And then if course it's attached to the monster that is Disney....

Wow just wow! This-looks-amaizing.
So much awesome in that trailer.

Also the only Star Wars movie announcement I buy is Ashoka by Filoni. Based on this trailer - that looks legit

I think that Filoni's movie will be set during the High Republic era. I could be wrong though.

EDIT: Yup... I was wrong. Just heard that his film still be post-Mando era.

Loved waking up to this! I totally forgot Celebration was kicking off today, so seeing this and all the other announcements was so good! This trailer looks amazing and I absolutely cannot wait for this show! So glad I won't have to wait for very long!

So this is what we will be seeing in the first twenty minutes of this amazing new show before we cut back to Tatooine to see how Boba Fett is running errands, taking his new Vespa for a cruise across the dune sea, answering fan letters...

Seriously, I'm really pumped for this. Seeing the animated characters in live action brought a big smile on my face. Sabine looks hot!

Apparently the show will have some intense lightsaber fights. :)

Btw, those new egg-shaped ships are very fitting for Easter, so a good choice to drop the trailer today. ;)

That looked awesome, I can't wait. I just hope that Disney is actually ponying up for more than a mere 6 episodes and that each episode is much longer than just a half hour. I'm hoping for at least 10 episodes with each pushing an hour, much like Andor. These 6 episode, mostly half hour episode seasons just aren't cutting it for me. It seems to me that the writers and producers have too much they want to show and tell each season than can fit in just 6 short episodes.

I’m intrigued by this if nothing else. Curious to see what this apparent reworking of “Heir to the Empire” entails. Was that old guy with a lightsaber an analog to Joruus C’baoth perhaps?

Also, Ahsoka is considered a Jedi again?

Oooohhhh....

The C'baoth idea hadn't even crossed my mind. That would be an interesting idea.

I think a through-line of the show COULD be about her struggling about whether to reclaim that title.

A couple things I missed the first time is that the shows logo has the circle designs from the World Between Worlds. With that being a HUGE part of her story, I'm interested in how they'll use it.

Also, I didn't realize that Mary Elizabeth Winstead is cast as Hera. I've loved her since Scott Pilgrim.

Yeah I’m especially interested to see what they mine from those books! There’s also Luuke Skywalker to consider, which is technically doable these days. I have long assumed Grogu could be tied to Thrawn’s cloning and genetic endeavors but we’ll see. I had really hoped that Republic officer Thrawn had intervened and been the one to “save” Grogu at the temple but that didn’t pan out.

New bad lady with a lightsaber after ROTJ? Mara Jade erasure!

Also interesting that Ahsoka is fighting that bearded guy in the World Between Worlds.
