Sorrry to borrow photos from the web but I found these on cooltoyreview.com

Actually I don't know if it's illegal to repost copyrighted photos so I have removed what I posted. If you want to see the photos go to cooltoyreview.com

There will be considerably more interest once Master Replicas provides some images of the prototypes. I'm very interested in both the phaser and tricorder, but all we have right now are a few images generated by ray tracing software.

Winter 08? Oh, c'mon, MR- these have been in the pipeline for what feels like forever. Weren't they on the 2006 product road map?

I'm glad they're finally getting around to offering them, and I know their release is tied to the new film for maximum impact, but I feel like I've waited long enough already.

I am glad they are making stuff at least.
But what I really want to know is what ships are on the way?

Well, actually we're in Winter '08 right now. It sure would be nice if they meant in the next couple of months and not the middle of December.

Haha- good point. I guess that illustrates nicely the difference between a pessimist and an optimist. I immediately jumped to the conclusion they meant December 08, since STXI comes out on Christmas Day. Also, given past MR practice- they would have had to put this up for pre-order last summer in order to ship it in the first quarter of 08.

The Molds for the Phaser was molded directly off of one of the original hero props made by Greg Jein's shop so there's no question of the accuracy.

I do not know the history behind the Tricorder.

There were prototypes and pics from last year's Toy Fair I think for both of these. I will be on board for both - of course.

OK finally some photos from Toy Fair of the Corgi Mark X tricorder and assault phaser. I dunno if these are prototypes or the final replicas. I'm thinking they look too clean to be original props.
