Well, they did my boots. I can't speak for them. I would contact them yourself and ask your questions.About Durans, are they still doing Star Trek Boots and do you know if they ship international?

Thank you for finding all this!, I’ve read about velour and the type by CR Crafts is 100% polyester meaning it requires a specific dye that rit offers.Apollo Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into them.
AnthonyD2199 Your theory on the Anovos blue sounds as good a theory as any. I was also recently shown a video of Leonard Nimoy's uniform from back in the 60s, and shot under different conditions than TOS. I think it's really worth a look. You can kind of see how the blue leans toward an aquamarine here.
Also, velour totally can be dyed. I reached out to the Ginger Holley, the costume designer for Vic Micnogna's "Star Trek: Continues" fanfilms. They used velour shirts for the episode "Fairest of Them All". She told me she bought and dyed a white cotton velour. I don't think it's quite perfect, but it's sure convincing enough. You could probably do a custom dye job for the Pilot shirts as well.
Durans is still doing boots. I messaged a TOS cosplayer on Insta recently, @dirkcavalier, who told me he got his boots from Durans.
Here are some shades I found on the RIT Dye website that show some promise.Thank you for finding all this!, I’ve read about velour and the type by CR Crafts is 100% polyester meaning it requires a specific dye that rit offers.
Do you know where they got their velour? Also in the fourth episode of Continues they had a character who wore a Pilot Science Tunic. Do you know if they used a stock colour or if they had to create a dye recipe?

Of all the shades they offer I’m sure I can find one that’s a match for the Pilot Tunic.
AnthonyD2199 Could you please share what kind of RIT dye is needed for velour?
Also, I'm not sure where they got their velour, but I'm sure it can't be too hard to come by.
I totally forgot that they referenced a Pilot uniform for their series. I'll ask about that as well.
Also, it's good to see there are so many options for RIT dyeing velour. I don't know if RIT-dyed velour will really give us that illustrous sparkle we're after, but at least we can play around and make some Pilot colors that we probably wouldn't find elsewhere. Also, RIT dyeing gives us a chance to color match for screen-accuracy rather than set-accuracy. Good work!
MARK M3 I saw on your own thread that your uniform used a custom fabric. Could you elaborate on how you achieved that?![]()
Thanks, and my eyesight is pretty terrible, Do you know if they used a stock Dye Formula for the Star Trek Continues Pilot Tunic?Hey, no worries! I appreciate you getting the names down. I think the colors you picked are really, really close.
That's interesting to know, She did a great job with the Velour Uniforms. I'm not too worried about the Gold and Beige for the moment because I think the CR Crafts colours are very accurate although the problem would lie in dyeing the Collar material to match.I just heard back from Ms. Holley.
She said that she had used the RIT dyeing process for all the colors, but that she had brewed her own recipes together. She said she didn't remember exactly what she had mixed together, but she does recall the normal TOS blue and gold being very difficult to match. For the gold, she recalled mixing in just a pinch of green to really make it work.
And he’s been wonderful at communicating with me about the TOS Tunic I commissioned, I believe that he’s really gotten his act together when it comes to fulfilling orders.About Kerezman - I ordered some Season 1/2 style Enterprise/starship insignias. After about a week since my order I asked when they were supposed to come in, and he told me they probably got lost in the mail, and said he would send some new ones. Now another week has passed and they just arrived.![]()
Two things about the Anovos Tunic, the only inaccuracy that springs to mind is that the Tunic is based off the early Season 1 tunic but uses the ‘Raglan Shoulder’ which didn’t appear until Season 2, the early Tunics used a ‘Saddle Shoulder’.Thanks, things are a bit better now, here are the pics of my Anovos Velour Tunic, it’s made in the Early to Mid 1st Season Style so features a Rib Knit Collar and the Reverse Rank Braid both of which were phased out by the end of the 1st Season.
The tunic is a blue-er and has a nice sparkle to it in person but comes across as more grey in the photos despite all my attempts to change the lighting.

I like the T'Pol version too, it looks a lot simpler than the original dress, there are great pics on the Prop Authority so it shouldn't be hard to extrapolate a pattern from it.I also got the sense the Anovos tunic may be going for more screen accuracy than set accuracy, but the gray-ish look in the photos seems right to me. I felt the TOS Science tunics looked more like a faded light blue than anything else, whereas the CR Crafts stuff still feels too green.
I wish we knew more info about the ENT and DS9 recreations. The materials they used are probably much easier to get ahold, and they're still super convincing. I wish too that someone made a pattern for Mirror T'Pol's dress. I really like the collar design and want it to show up in more stuff.
Also, I figured I'd share my comparison of the CR Crafts velour with Spock's uniform as seen in the Carol Burnett show. I know it's not quite Pilot attire, but it seems relevant to the tangent we're on.
