Star Trek TOS Pike/Cage Phaser

Greetings all. I have a question about the original Pike/Cage phaser prop. I know that one version was "dressed up" with typewriter key buttons. Does anyone know what brand/model typewriter they were taken from? I'm also wondering if the larger "gear" attached to the rear of the phaser might have been the carriage gear or other part of the same typewriter? Any info would be much appreciated!

No one knows unfortunately. The gears were found at a shop in CA in the 1990s. But what they came from exactly is a mystery
