All of the original communicators had a metal grill from a transistor radio, no woven cloth. There was a cloth grill on the Enterprise intercom panels. Check out herocomm.com for all the details.
Anything new to report on these? ...gettin' itchy!

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about the moire stopping after a few secs. My 'theater of the mind' sees it running as long as the grill is up or otherwise active.

I see the same thing, however, I would be worried that it would be a huge draw on the battery.
Wasn't it "Think geek" who did the sloppy job shipping the phasers? Just sticking the boxes in Tyvec envelopes with no protection, etc.?
StarTrek.com had the best rep in the end, right?

It says 'stops spinning after awhile.' It's probably similar to those MKX Trics that would power off after awhile if left open so they could be displayed.
Yeah, but that's perfectly achievable if you're not using the bluetooth or messing with the features. Dormant after a few moments is fine if nothing is pressed or otherwise being utilized while the grid is open. I'd just like it to keep spinning as long as I'm using it....
I'm of course down no matter what. Just more or less voicing my dream scenario as far as features go. :thumbsup
My wife is probably already working on her 'look' as I excuse myself (while dropping my right shoulder and kicking my head to 45 degrees) to take a call.
" What is it? I thought I told you never to call me?! " :lol
