Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

An interesting point about Pike’s cooking skills as a tool for diplomacy, which I can relate to. As someone who is constantly advised on reducing my salt intake, if I am to adjust to this brave new world, I will have to get over it, and follow the recommendations.

But I digress. Now I need those ears.

You know, perhaps this entire series is actually the Organians' created world for Pike, and he's reliving all his memories before he dies. So... they're a bit embellished as he wishes they had happened.
If only the writers had the intelligence to come up with something like that. Too bad we know that they don't.

If you’ve ever wondered how Spock would behave with all of his Vulcan suppression removed, watch “This Side of Paradise”.

Emotional? Yes.

Acting like a teenager on a CW YA series? No.

I didn't have a problem with Human Spock.. I'd like to see how you handle having half your DNA replaced. Anyway, a surprising amount of our personality is nature not nurture.

Any thought on our first significant time with prime Kirk? No complaints here.

I will admit that Wesley Crusher is more comfortable in his role now as Kirk.

I do like the character that he portrays, however, that character is not Kirk.

Well, his name is still “Jim”…Carrey…

The physicality and overall personality and presence presented is just “wrong” for James T Kirk.

Why, MY Kirk has a manly girdle, lifts in his high-heeled boots, and a respectable toupee on his head. Yes, sir—that’s MY James T Kirk! I won’t have it any other way.

;)
