Original Sony Walkman TPS-L2 cassette tape player.
This style Walkman was featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films.
Used by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt)
In amazing cosmetic condition. Looks almost like new.
The inside is very clean too.
-Comes with:
Original carrying case
2 "Awesome Mix" tape replicas (no music on them)
Extra washers and electrical tape.
The electronics did not work at first. I tried to fix it.
Soldered 3 loose wires and restored power as seen by the red "operation" light.
The motor was seized so it was taken apart, cleaned and lubricated and works now.
2 new belts were installed. 2 new idle tires were installed.
New electrical tape was put in.
Played tapes sometimes but wasn't consistent.
Playback would stop when trying to fast forward or rewind or didn't start at all.
It definitely needs some last adjustment that I can't diagnose myself.
It was a display piece so eventually, I just closed it back up.
The screw under the battery door is almost stripped.
