In case anyone is interested....

I wore these to FanX Comic-Con all three days. They look great and strap well, but you will want something to hold the front spat piece to your shoes. Otherwise, the spat will rotate on your leg and the shoe piece doesn't stay in place for anything.

Straight velcro to the shoe didn't work for me - my base shoes are leather and the velcro doesn't stick to that for anything, neither did e-6000 or other glues I tried. On a positive note, they cleaned up fairly well. :)

In the end, what I did was attach a small piece of industrial strength velcro to the inside of each of the two flaps on the boot piece closest to the leg. I attached a roughly 3/4 inch piece inside these flaps and then to a 1" wide elastic band. This gives me a foot strap, holding the spat in place across the boot comfortably, and the elastic rests in the arch so it doesn't get much ground traffic.

To keep the front three flaps from popping up or flapping around, I attached rare earth magnets under each flap and then inside the shoes in matching positions. This creates enough grab to hold the front panels down to the shoe, and helps pull it back in place if I move my foot in a way that pulls the panel off the shoe. Fits much better and they now hold shape and position after much foot traffic in them. They look great, thanks again Danny!

I just bought some industrial strength velcro so hopefully i'll have some luck with that.

Hey guys! So sorry for the delay of responses lately, as some of you might know, I had to leave town unexpectedly because my grandpa got sick and I was taking care of him, sadly he passed away so I stayed for the funeral, hence my absence for this few days. I'm about to go back, I really can't wait to work off all this finishing this run and maybe even starting a Star Lord Gloves run!

This last run was limited, only 6 pairs were made and I updated the ones I did send. However I bought the leather and left it with my leather maker, so I will be able to send all pending shipments this friday tops.

Yes! That's exactly what I did with mine. Since I'm not making the boots I used super glue and just add a stripe of velcro to the flap, then I used an elastic with the other side of the velcro glued on it so I could easily remove it from my boots. I used normal velcro and it holds up pretty well, they never popped out of place.

on another note, I just got confirmation that my Spats are in the US, theyre at the main depot nearest me and I should be getting them tomorrow....

Thanks mate, yes, I left the leather with my leather maker before leaving!

My Condolences on your loss Danny, I got my Boot spats in the Mail on Friday, they are fantastic! thanks for making these and doing the run. Now to find some boots for them :D
