So I stopped by the Pirate Museum while in St Augustine today. Pretty interesting if you're like me and love pirate lore. There's a small section with movie props and replicas on display and figured some of you might want to see. (sorry for the quality and glare). The plaques say that the Pirates of the Caribbean stuff is screen used. I believe the rest are replicas. I know there have been a few discussions on here about these..one being the recast of Magnoli's copper bones and the other about the hook? Anyway, I'll just leave them here... Enjoy

It don’t seem one of my Hook. It is different in both parts, lower and upper part.

That Hook must be Sarednab's right? He's the only one whose made one as far as I can remember.

I thought the same thing at first... Then I saw that Moviefreak had already mentioned it being there during your first run. Maybe one of the other members can identify it? The plaque says it's a replica.

Both hooks are replicas, the Dustin Hoffman is a “copy” made by the original hook prop maker, Tony Swatton. The 2003 Jason Isaacs hook prop is also a “copy” but it’s of the stunt hook worn by Isaacs stunt double (I have a copy made from the same mold/casting).

The Jack Sparrow sword is also a “copy” made by Tony Swatton. He made several doubles of the sword for the POTC films, particularly films 2 and 3.

FYI, most of everything in that museum are replicas and copies, not originals. Many things were made specifically for the museum. There is a lot of talk and controversy about it among the pirate reenactment community.
