Ssc Elder Statue Announced *udpate* Legendary Wolf Reveal Date Added!

this won't be any taller then 20in tall, prolly somewhere between 18-20in tall including base, so it would still be smaller then the Neca Pred. I'm surprised nobody here has noticed all the inaccuracies about it. No broken tusk, no mandible piercing, and they used the wrong lost hunter sword. The paint app will prolly suck majorly in comparison, I will prolly pass, it should've been in 1/4 scale.

I'm sorry I'm just not convinced on buying this one. Still waiting for HT to blow me away and they have not done that yet I'm still upset that I can't get any of the older bios anymore from them.
 
I agree with Azurepred, there's a lack of accuracy, especially the broken tusk which is for me the emblem of the Elder...

I really think he looks great and for 299.99 not to bad.I am not a statue guy so i am passing but if there's anyone here that's going to get him more power to ya!!!! I think hes 1/5 scale , i would love to see him bigger if i would buy a statue, but the wolf legendary is like 1000 bucks wow there's a car down the street for that.
 
I really like the general look of this statue. I love the colors, the pose, all of that, and the size doesn't bother me.

But when I look at the innacuracies, I know down the road I'd be wishing they'd have gotten it right. That said, I don't think I can buy it, knowing it's wrong.

There is what looks to be a tiny hole on his one tusk, so maybe there WILL be a ring on it later, but even then it would be just one step on fixing what's wrong. Surprised they got so many things right and skipped over some of the more obvious characteristics of the Elder. :(

They got the feet wrong again, should be P2 style not P1! Waiting to see if my comment is posted on their page as this mistake just keeps getting repeated.

ya noticed that too :mad: DAMMIT!! WHY!?! among others, the sword does not seem to be the same sword either, like a mix of borgs and elders kinda WTF?!?

for the most part i really like it, but sideshow has kinda burned my ass in the pred department in recent years (EX: p2 statue a couple years ago, total loss) so i'm kinda just waiting to see if they'll listen to the fans or not on this one, it is the elder for **** sake.
 
hmmm... my thinking... and im sure its not what the case is here, but, my thinking is that this is the elder that first encountered the pirate on the ship, the "pre Predator 2" elder so to speak. if you read about him on xenopedia, it says that he originally had a different sword, and observed this captain on his ship. one day the captains crew took part in a mutiny against him, and the elder stood side by side with him to fight them off with swords. when the crew was all dead, they turned to face eachother, sword versus sword, and one of the crew that was not dead yet fired a shot and fatally wounded the captain. before the captain died, he handed the elder the pistol as a sign of respect. the captain died, and the elder left his original sword with the captain on the ship.
