We wait because we have to wait. Our money is held hostage. Of course there is always a limit to how long someone will be patient. I'd say this situation has pushed most all of us to the limit.

I don't think any of us are planning on just smiling and kissing our money goodbye.
I can't speak for anyone else, but my relationship with Wasili was at one time good enough that I am willing to give him the 14 days. Believe me, it's driving me nuts just standing by. I am disappointed that he has dragged this out to the final hours. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until the last hour of the 14 days is up. I want to see him make good on his promise of the refunds, at least.
As of this posting, he has about five hours and 45 minutes left. If he doesn't deliver, I will be left with no alternative but to file fraud charges along with Jason.

Yes it does... but, unfortunately, I'm guessing there aren't enough of us to make up much of a "class."

In his original JY thread, Wasili wrote that he intended to offer four finished models and eight kits. That would mean 12 clients, assuming he actually filled every slot. At $950 per finished model and $475 per kit, Wasili would have taken in $3,800 (half of $7,600) in downpayments. That's a maximum figure; I have the feeling he didn't sell every slot.
I think we should go after our refunds with everything we've got. $475 is a significant amount of money to me, and apart from the dough there's the principle. But I can't help thinking it may be hard to find a good lawyer interested in pursuing an international Internet fraud case worth a total of "only" $3,800. There promises to be a lot of legwork and not much payoff. :confused
That said, I'm all for putting as much legal and law-enforcement pressure on Wasili as we can.

I think maybe a group complaint carries more weight? Certainly ups the "money" total in the single document being filed.
I think one of the first things we should do is find out if we have any members in Amsterdam who might be willing to assist us in any way (for example, by liaising with the local police).

By the way, I have Wasili's complete contact information (home address, home and work telephone numbers), although I can't confirm that the information is correct or current. It was what he gave me back in December when I paid him $475.

I sent him a scathing e-mail a couple of days ago, telling him exactly what I think of the way he has made fools of his clients on this project. It's out of character for me to write such a brutal message, but I feel that he has treated me/us like dirt.
Oddly, there are other people who have had more of my money longer than Wasili has... and yet I don't feel angry toward them as I do toward him. That's because there are open channels of communication with the other sellers. When I write to them, they respond.
I feel betrayed and insulted by the way Wasili has alternately lied to and ignored me, especially after we had hit it off so well online, and after I defended him on the board.
I haven't received any response to my message.

I could maybe at least get this project back on track. I'd love to have one but couldn't afford it.

Mic that would be sweet if he would consider it. I've offered the same at least 3 times and he won't even reply to the suggestion. He ignored it completely. I hope you have more luck than I did.
I'd love to get this project completed, but I'll still settle for a refund otherwise.

Thanks for the update. If not for you, we'd have no news at all.
Wasili used to respond to my e-mail, but after the message I sent him the other day, I don't guess I'll be getting any news from him again. All I want from him now is my money back.
As for refunding us in the order that we paid him: it's good news and it makes logical sense, but I'll wait to sing and dance until I actually get my funds. All we've had from him so far is one broken promise after another. "For all those that ordered a kit or built up, please email/PM me with your (paypal) details, and i will refund you your downpayment within the next 14 days." Yeah, right.
Maths, if you've still got Wasili's ear, please tell him to post in the thread and talk to all of us. We've all paid him and we deserve direct communication from him with regard to our refunds. If he has time to write to you, he has time to post here.
