And thanks for your reply btw. I will wait until my next payday and then order a suit myself.

Awesome job on making a low cost but yet high quality TASM suit! I am so inspired to try this method myself. I was wondering if you tried those white masks from the craft stores as a face shell? Do you think it will work?

Thanks man! I haven't thought about those as face shells. Only thing is those still have a nose and mouth, and those are the things a face shell is supposed to smooth out. But I don't know, it might would work.

You could use the forehead section and cut the underside of the nose of untill you reach the chin. Then use foam to cover the gap and you should have the nose and mouth section smooth.

Why don't these other fellas get the dirt dogs? Isn't about accuracy? I see why spideysparrow didn't do it, but come on :confused

Re: SpiderSparrow's TASM Build (New Pics added 10/16/12 page 5)

Artistic freedom and budget are reasons. I have no idea what shoes i will use yet but I do know that I am going to include a removable belt in my build. That isn't screen accurate at all but I like a build to be mine. There is no need to be screen accurate as long as you are satisfied with the results yourself.

Hi all, sorry to be a neusance but can anyone tell me how to puff paint the front spider? Do I just go straight from the nozzle or do I have to spread it around using a paint brush?

Also, what do I need to do once ive finished applying? Like, how exactly would i leave it to dry?

My suit is finished! :D I actually finished it last night. It's not 100% SA, no where near it actually, but it's an awesome looking ASM suit and I'm happy with it. wore it to the first party tonight and everyone loved it. And it held up very well, no tears, and I was by no means being careful in it.
Sadly my web shooters did brake from people grabbing my arms and stuff, but I can easily fix them.

Sorry but I have no pics to show yet... I'll try to get some good shots of it tomorrow. And there should be some pics from the party popping up on FB soon, so as soon as I see those I'll post them here.

I do however have pics of my web shooters and how I made them.

I started with caps off of shaving cream.

And with the help of silver spray paint; sculpy; and red, blue, and green sharpies I made them look like this. The cartridges and indicators broke off at the party, so I have to make more and figure out a better way to attach them, I just super glued them before.

They're not SA, but since I payed $0 for them they work for me! Haha I took the caps off my sister's empty shaving cream cans, and I already had all the stuff I used to make them.

Re: SpiderSparrow's TASM Build (Suit Finished!!!)

The shooters look good. the green indicator is a bit to raised for my likings but I do like the nozzle like that. Can't wait romp

Yeah, they are a bit high, but I just wanted to add to them a little so it didn't just look like I had shaving cream caps on my suit, haha. I may invest in some good web shooters later on, but for now these work.

As promised, here are pics from the party! I didn't have a chance to take good pics today, but I will eventually.

I didn't tell anyone that I was making a spider-man costume, so the day before the party I threw together a Peter Parker outfit and had my skateboard and vintage camera, so everyone thought that was my costume. And about 10 minutes into the party I went to the bathroom and changed into spidey. It was pretty cool. Sadly I don't have any pics of that, but I'll put it on again and take pics soon.

I think I'm going to weather my suit, I don't like how vibrant the colors look, and it would help make the imperfections in the honeycomb less noticeable.

I'm really not sure what was going on here, but I look cool, ha.

I'm not super happy with the black lines on he blue, I Might go over them with 2 lines of puff paint to make them look more accurate. It's just black sharpie right now. I had to get my sister to do those actually (with a lot of guidance and freaking out from me), so that I could wear the suit to make sure they were lined up right.

Great poses man! I think you did an awesome job with what you had. Makes me want to get one of these myself and have it as a battle damage version, with the 3 claw cuts on the chest and all that. I think going over the sharpie withe black or navy puff paint is a good idea. You weren't lying when you said you were a dead ringer to Garfield, good gawd!

Thanks man! Every time you compliment me I feel like I'm talking with the spidey president or something, lol.
Yeah, I've thought about doing the battle damage suit. I am going to make it look really used and dirty, but I'm not going to do any tears yet, just because I don't want to risk ruining my suit before the Halloween season is over.

This looks incredible, i'm loving the black honeycomb on the blue sections, it really brings out the movie look, great job. Keep up the good work my friend :thumbsup :)
