Lunaman, the dome like appearance that the movie lenses have, that can be achieved with plexiglass?
I've been wondering how exactly to achieve that look.
Any tips into on the steps needed to get that look?
I have the first version on TASM2 lenses would I be able to pull off the dome-lenses look that looks right.
On another note, I'm planning on ordering version 2 in case i can't with version 1

Plexiglass or another clear thermoplastic, yes. You would need to sculpt the appropriate curve of the dome yourself, and then heat and bend the plastic over your sculpt to match the curve and then cut the profile to shape. You would also need a way to keep the white hex mesh attached, as the self adhesive on the white vinyl overlay can't accommodate extreme curves without buckling or detaching. MCL34N managed this by sculpting and casting the white mesh as a separate pre-curved piece, and sandwiching it between two layers of plexi to hold it down tight. Even still, it's very difficult to get the mesh to follow the curve evenly.

The standard lens material can easily accomodate the normal curves of a face or faceshell, it's just the type of protruding curve on the domed movie lens that makes things difficult.
Here is the normal lens material with the V2 (smaller) Amazing Spider-Man 2 frames, backed with a fine wire mesh:

The appearance of the movie lens is that of the domed lens protruding outward past the frames, which requires all of the extra and difficult work explained above.

frames have been available for a while - the member who was supposed to be making the smoked acrylic lenses for me has gone AWOL with the frames I sent him for reference and won't return any of my pm's

I'm on the lookout for someone else to work on them for me

I recently bought a Spiderman Morphsuit made by a company called Rubies and I was wondering what kind of lenses I would need for the mask.

I am a big fan of the wall-crawler and was wondering if you could help me out with a pair of custom lenses. I might need alot of guidance as I am new to the RPF. Any help though is appreciated!

Hard to say for sure what frames will be best to cover them with. I'd suggest waiting until you have the suit in hand and then take some measurements to compare to the info I posted on the first page

I will measure the lense size as soon as possible. I already tried on my suit a few times and
I personally think I would need one pair of one of the two sizes of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 lenses.

Hey all, I had a fall last night that landed me in the hospital so I apologize if I'm slow to respond to messages the next few days. Pretty much on bed rest for the next little while and can honestly say the rpf isn't my biggest priority at the moment. Ill do my best but most likely won't be putting together any orders until sometime mid week.

My lenses and face shell came through the other day.
Super pleased with them! I've got it sorted with all the magnets and everything. Now just waiting on my suit to arrive.
