A few more pics, this time including the passenger pod with the modified underside and a couple of the articulated pod landing gear. Also included a couple of shots of the rear of the Mark 2 command module with the rockets attached. Must admit I'm really not looking forward to the pre-priming cleanup

Very cool builds everyone.
I have been reading and collecting pictures for my Eagle build.
Mine will be very large as I just got 17 8 inch Space 1999 action figures and I want it scale to them.
Your builds including the inside have giving me ideas for my build.
My Eagle will be about 3 meters long.
I will start with the command module and see if the scale might end up too much.

Hey I have a Sulu that scale too.

Hey guys! Sorry for the absence! I have been busy working on new projects etc. Okay, so I have, of late, been concentrating on producing parts that fit into a 44" Eagle CM.
So......I have decided to manufacture my own CM to put all this "stuff" into. It is the main reason that I have been away for so long.
Here are the first tangible results:
A lot of my time has been spent verifying dimensions and measurements.
The next step is to 'panel' this half and mould/cast it. Then I can concentrate on the rear half of the CM, without that silly, square 'crawlway.'
Anyway that's where I am at.

Yes, there is a Fan film, in England David Connellan editing a film. A pre-release of opening title is this:

But the cockpit is a work of another English team. I don't know what will be the end result... will build the entire Command Module? 1:1 Scale? Boh.

Hi All!
I recently came into contact with an amazing guy, who is building an 88" Eagle Transporter and we are in the throes of working out what would look good in the HUGE cockpit.
This is where I am at so far:
First up is the Eagle pilot. He is 1:16 Scale, as requested, and is based on a Roman Praetorian Guard. The Space suit is accurate to the best of my abilities. I have studied the originals and have tried to copy it as exactly as I can, including the stitching. I have also marked the suits where the patches will go. These will also be supplied as decals.
I will be supplying a front pack with each pilot and accurate decals to go with it but no air tanks, as they wont be needed.
The seat is oversized at 1:12 Scale but works for the purposes of the photos.
The visor will be cast in clear resin and it will be hinged so you can have it up or down The surround can then just be painted to match the helmet and the 'bulged' part can be hit with some orange glass paint.
Here is the immense back wall with the 44" for comparison. In theory, it should be reasonably straight forward to scale up the cuts. I'll keep you informed as I go!
And here's one with the pilot in situ, just to give you an idea of how it looks.
Finally, each pilot will come with two of these little blighters! I won't insult your intelligence by explaining what it is!
Well that's a general sketch of where the project is at present. let me know your thoughts, ideas or critiques...
just please remember that ALL these photos half finished (at best) parts.
