sourcing blasters in the UK

since the latest government psycho legislation last year, importin from abroad is out unless I want to chance a visit from customs and the plods.

which would be embarassing as I am one too.

is there anywhere in the UK I might be able to source a Denix Mauser, a resin mauser or an airsoft mauser at all so I can convert it into a Luke or Han Blaster?

someone had one on the junkyard, a denix for $45 (ie £20 odd quid plus shipping) and I was spitting bricks because I daren't risk ordering something from the US and not getting it due to the insane legislation.

any suggestions?

I'm thinking I'm going to have to go the airsoft route if I could find one. but that'll be about £100 and I know I could source a resin one for less than that.

I have a spare resin Broomhandle Mauser (in white resin so it shouldn't be a problem wth importing from the US) that I could sell or trade to you. The only problem with the gun is that the grips were cast into the piece, but I started grinding them off with a dremel so that I could add wood grips (but I never finished this project), so if you wanted this gun, you would have to dremel off the grips and add wood grips or another set of plastic grips.

Dan, I've responded to you via email. thanks for the offer, but I've found a UK seller that can do me a DL44 ESB version already gussied up with scope and flash suppressor etc for $60.

so All I need to do is paint it.

is where I went to. they also do a lightweight resin E11 all tricked out WITH working trigger for just over £100 + shipping. so that will probably be my next buy.

considering it was a sunday, they responded to an email query within 20 minutes. the website said they were out of droid callers but I knew they had some listed on ebay, so they responded fast, listed it on the site and allowed me to make the order within about 30 minutes.

will report back once I recieve them and comment on quality of the casting etc.
