Sonic Screwdriver Parts on shapeways

He made them, as in created the 3D shapes. 3D printing is done from files, the "masters" are never a physical object, just a render.

Risu is right. I ordered the sonic head in Stainless and it was a little smaller than it should be because of the printing process. I've also ordered the tennant body, the aztec body and various caps in alumide, white polished, and black detail and they all printed fairly accurately.

If you want to order them in a plastic and finish them in rub and buff. I might try alumide, since it's smoother than normal white and it would have a silver base to work from. Risu, if you do this, let me know and I'll send you an extra glass blue lense.

So, the plastic parts are more dimensionally correct, and the alumide is the smoothest finish of those (not to mention metallic looking). Good to know.

There's a lot of parts here, which ones would you say go together with the "sonichead" piece? There's a bunch of bodies, etc. and I want to make sure I order the right ones if I'm going to order.
