Sonic blaster (2005 prop)

Hello!

Long time lurker first time poster, if any of you are on the Instagram you might have seen my sonic screwdriver replicas of various types.
I'm sure at i'll be posting about those at some point too.

After kicking around in my workshop and making a concept sonic by the incomparable concept artist Matt Savage I got talking to him about his work on the 2005 reboot of Doctor who and specifically his design of Captain Jack's sonic blaster, he informed me he had the original prop proudly on display in his office and he was kind enough to supply me with some outstanding reference images and scale measurments, and with his permission I'd like to make them available to everyone as it is a criminally undermade prop!

(And we all hate the kind of people who hoard prop reference and materials don't we)

I am collaborating with a far more talented 3d artist to mock up a 3d model I plan to make available too so keep an eye on this thread or drop me a follow on my Instagram DangerIndustry

It was a concept sonic by matt savage. I knocked a version together (wasn't quite as cool as his design tho)
No thread unfortunately but you can see it on my Insta.
