Something's Going to Happen, Something Wonderful

Mike

Congratulations on the progress you've made with the 2001 helmet, it looks great!! I'm glad you were able to make it happen.

So basically here is our color picker for 2001 spacesuits. :lol

And DALEKS!

Years ago I read a color code for the Discovery spacesuits. I think it is something they made up, but it sounded good.

Red: Mission Commander
Yellow: First Officer
Blue: Science Team Head
Green: Emergency space suit.
Silver: Science Team (perhaps with different colored helmets for identification).

In his book, SPACESHIP HANDBOOK, Jack Hagerty pointed out that the Moon suits had the same colors as the Gemini spacesuits, silver with white helmets. While the Discovery spacesuits had the same color arrangement as in the movie "Destination Moon".

David.

I always liked that Dallas, Kane, and Lambert had red, yellow, and blue suits in ALIEN, too.

Actually the Gemini suits were white with white helmets. The Mercury suits were silver with white helmets.

The Global Effects IBM suit was more accurate before modifications

Overall the IBM suit has the backpack and arm controls of the Discovery suits, but the chest pack reminiscent of the Lunar suits.

Phase Pistol,

I hope you dont mind me asking, but do you have any pictures of the belt harness area for the 2010 suits. The buckle on their suits near their waist area was the same harness buckles used in the rocketeer....I haven't been able to find any clear photos of it

thanks

I think I have the same blurry pic you have of Lithgow. I thought I had a better one but I'll keep looking

I'll check at home, I might have something. These are just the suits used on the Leonov you're talking about, right?

For example the Russian and American space suits used on the Leonov, looked much like Space Shuttle suits used at the time.

Yes, the suits were the ones used on the Leonov.

If you look at lithgow's orange belt, you can partially see the buckle...

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it
