Some Recent works on Iron Man 2 replica : MARK IV / VI Statue / Armor W.I.P

So the suit left the calf armors and shoes to be done, and probably some sleeve padding for elbow/joints :)

I'm tweaking bit by bit on the knee joint, cause the part should link to thigh and calf. I hope I can minimize some of the movement issue when it's in wearable mode :p

All base mesh is up in good shape :) I can start making detailing now(n)cheers

ha... no, it isn't, I will have to hit pause for weeks as currently I have 2~3 cases in hand of house renovation interior design and need to communicating closely with the contractor Lol...

Ok! The whole RPF is waiting on the edge of their seats :D

bro, I wouldn't say 3d printer is a time saver solution cause you will have to spend hundreds hours in making the file to be printable.
The only thing can be minimized maybe is the effort of making the shapes and some consistency balancing to left/right side.

Btw, what rendering engine you using? Is looking great man :)

mannnnn i wish i had a 3d printer.. would save a lot of time..
My mk 43 hower is slowly coming together... :D hope you guys like it.

Yeah you could be right about it. If you design it from scratch.

I am just using mostly jackierockins files for the mk42.!

masked rider; How do you propose to turn this into armor and statue? Will you have the parts printed (expensive!) or maybe CNC machined, or will you hand sculpt again? I would love to know your process.

Will have most of the parts print out via 3D printer , than will have to revisiting all parts while cleaning and smoothing the printed parts , to make sure all the sharp details . Also planning to combine several kinds of material in this suit , even steel or aluminium pieces to bring this suit to higher level of quality and details ... who knows .. ;)

My buddy has great eyes on the details and put in lots of afford while creating this 3D model ..... so i will do my best and will not let him and all of u down ... ;)

Sorry for the delay on this project... :p

The ball is with me as per current progress, as I have some side design project work to finish up in this coming weeks and both of us should have about a week for our lunar new year celebrations :)

Basically I think bro masked rider has no problem with handling the printed piece at his end once it's done :D

I only have to half finished up to thigh armor but I try to minimize the error to get rid of bad assembly as I can and print cost of course :)

@masked rider; @skylu3Design;

So, when can I buy my new helmet? :D
