Re: Star Wars Anthology (Young Han Solo)
A guy's gotta have ice cream.
A guy's gotta have ice cream.
No big deal just Han Solo talking to Han Solo about being Han Solo.
To be honest I'm more interested in the story of this guy than in Han Solo's. Not that I don't like Han, but I'm afraid the movie will suck bigtime
If Han Solo is sitting across the table from Han Solo:

Luckily for you, Willrow Hood has a backstory. It just isn't canon anymore. There is more than meets the eye with that "ice cream maker".
That's because there's very little at stake with Ice Cream Maker Guy. Like, if his movie sucks and it turns out that he's nowhere near as cool as we thought...well....it's really not a big deal because he's kinda lame to begin with. There's nowhere to go but up.
But I'd also like to avoid the EU tendency to turn every background character into some integral part of the Galactic Civil War, or turn all the folks in the cantina into heroes or villains of high calibre.
What I most enjoyed about Rogue One was that it showed characters I'd almost never heard of.
That's only because they were building up to the Avengers early on and it's also the Marvel universe, not Star Wars. In both Marvel and DC there's a lot of connectivity because in both universes they have super hero teams, so naturally they all run into each other.
You do realize that my post was kinda ironic, don't you...
I hate the idea of this film. R1 got me buzzing after what I thought was a poor TFA but this has simply turned me off. Doesn't anyone have any imagination to give us new characters in the SW universe, or different times - maybe from the old Republic.
None of them interesting and all of them died.Public Service Announcement: Rouge One had several new characters.
And you were surprised when Rogue One; which happens days, hours, minutes prior to ANH; utilized some established characters?

Can you imagine a Star Wars movie that actually satisfied everyone? The mind boggles.....
Agreed but that was a long time ago...pre-internet. Now everyone has a voice [emoji14]Empire Strikes Back? That seems to be the one movie that is universally praised. In my nerd circles, I dont know anyone that doesnt like it, and its ALWAYS regarded as the best one.
