That's not quite how I'm reading the THR piece. There were many factors that led to Miller and Lord losing the gig, Ehrenreich's performance was one of them, but not the only one. Yes, the article does clearly state that LFL wasn't happy with the performance that M&L were "eliciting" from Ehrenreich. That can mean many things - but, let's face it.... these directors were also working with many other actors that did not need acting coaches (that said, they also weren't the lead actor either).

The same article refers to Lord and Miller as established filmmakers a few times, especially as compared to Rogue One director Gareth Edwards - but, that's a bit misleading. Their director credits are limited to a few big films - none of which were effect heavy - only two were even live action. Edwards has fewer directing credits, but has a lengthy history with effects work.

The THR piece reads like a spin piece.

Listen, I'm as opposed to this movie as any sane person would be, but lack of promotional content is not evidence if a catastrophe at this point.

I wasn't referring to thIs thread, in this instance. I was talking about the main draw of the RPF (Replica Prop FORUM). Like how people here appear to "pull stuff out of their ass" sometimes to create amazing props and stuff.
