Those who know me are probably aware of my pilot wing pins run over the last few years. I have done original design Rebel and Imperial wing pins as well as Stargate pilot wing pins. I have also done exact replicas of the standard and elite BSG pilot wing pins.
Next up is the pilot wing pins based on established Star Wars:TFA artwork:
Above is what I am going for: Keeping much of the wing design without text banner. The example above would be concept of antique silver variant. There would also be other metal plating options as well as the addition of enamel paint such as a black plated pin with orange enamel in the recessed areas. I have other color variations planned including a Poe version.
This wing pin is planned to be 2" long. Previous rebel wings were 3" long but the height of this pin is just about equal to the old ones. a little over 0.8". Because of the smaller size, I should be able to offer these cheaper than the old ones. No official quote yet but I hope to offer at $13 shipped and cheaper with multi orders.
