So, why the hating on P2?

I totally agree with Bryan, i thought P2 was a great sequel! it was a very fun movie to watch, i loved he performances with all the characters. And P2 was just a freaking awesome design, as much as i love Wolf he has the best pred face ever. Totally one of most epic scenes is when he turns his head quickly towards Harrigan (in the slaughter house) and does his epic scream, flexing his mandibles...Great new weapons and tech, great new idea of being in a city rather than a jungle in Central America...plus i love the combistick...****** i could go on all day. It's just as good as Predator, same with Predators, In my opinnion. I loved it.

I don't know P2 is my favorite next to Predators I don't care if P1 was the original the father of everything doesn't mean I have to like Predator the most. I just liked P2 the approach was awesome. And the Lost Predators. Oh ya. P2 just looked awesome. He didn't screw around like P1 did when it came to taken people out he did it. P2 FTW BRAAAH!! But the characters in P1 were more awesome.

needed more action

It doesn't suck at all, I agree it needed more action and there were a few hoaxy things. I really enjoyed as it was done tastefully. It was the early 90s and most movies had assumed L.A. was a huge warzone because of the riots so it was a little far fetched with that.

I like how the predator was drawn by conflict, he hunted down a warrior and died honorably. As mentioned before we saw awesome new weapons, the clan, the first look at their ship and trophie collection.

It sucked in the aspect again of the cheesy hard copy reporter and the drug lord wars. Also Hicks being a weirdo and saying everything is his specialty but those things weren't enough to bring this movie down. I really liked it.

"Hudson...HE's Hicks" *Points to the other guy*

i cant understand the P2 disliking by some either. for me i like it equal to P1, ive watched both to the death but id say P2 is always a more exciting watch for me, get to see more of the pred, new weapons and the best seen of all time... the lost hunters! P2 and the lost hunters are my fave preds!

I just watched Predator 2... for the first time... finally. (Some Predator fan I am, huh?)

I like what P2 did to expand the Predator universe, in terms of the types of Predators and the weapons. The main Predator in this one just wasn't very easy to kill, either. As far as the humans go, though, I really didn't want to empathize with any of the main characters. The movie started out as a typical late-80s/early-90s cop flick, and I'm just not a fan of cop movies. It contained the classic old cop movie cliche about some cop who bends the rules, disobeys his superiors, goes on his own investigation, and eventually solves the case by being a maverick. Where have I seen that before?

But back to the Predators in this one. I like the expansion of the mythos that Predators are drawn by heat and conflict, and that they still continue to fight with honor. And the new weapons, like the smart disc, combo staff, and netgun, are awesome. I might just have to make a couple of those for myself. (I've also seen them in the comics, which have provided me a pretty good amount of inspiration.)

I don't really have a ranking of all the Predator films in my head right now. They've all done different things to expand the Predator mythos and given us a playground. And so far, they haven't committed the Predator equivalent of Ewoks, Jar-Jar Binks, or Son of Godzilla.

I'm extremely biased of course because you could put Predator in a barbie movie and I'd like it.
If I put Predator in a Twilight movie, would you like it? I think wristblades and a smart disc would do wonders to slice up an angsty teenage love triangle.

I have to say something to defend P2 for those that thinks it's a bad movie. Ok, it's kind of hard to say where the majority of the people are coming from. Is watching the movies your first time looking at Predators ever or did you start with the comic which is where Predator started from in the first place? Even though a few stories, "I will admit it too", are not the greatest, a new Predator is introduced with new weapons, new abilities and technologies. That's what makes Predator great. Just watching Predator(s) to see what they do and how they are DIFFERENT from the previous Predator not which one is better. To me, I love them all because I am a Predator fan an not so much a movie critic. The only thing "WE" can do as true fans is convince these film makers to not screw up what the true fans love.

Also, I think Predator is best when he stands alone and not with all the Aliens. AVP2 and go on to another Predator story. Not to say that I didn't like AVP, just the story line wasn't as good as the first two movies prior in my opinion. But I say again, I love Predator and not what Hollywood thinks should be. For the comic readers, I know might remember Batman Vs. Predator. That was a good story but if they make a movie of that and pick anyone to director, screen write, and act in the movie, they can destroy that story really good. I would love to see what a female Predator look and behave like but then again other people isn't going to like that idea. Can't please everyone no matter how hard you try to.

The main reason why I love P2 is the look of him. I would say P2 and Wolf (not counting the new Black Predator cause I don't know if I like him yet for what he did in the movie. For those have seen the movie know what I'm talking about LOL) are the two that stand apart as far as design. Love the first and Scar too but their are some many P1 and Scar suit renditions out there and hardly any P2. I thought the "City Hunter" concept was a great idea for Predator. So what I'm try to say to my "Predator fans" is to look at "Predator" for what he is and can do and not all of this Hollywood hype they want us to believe.

I always liked P2 even more than P1, and it changed some time ago when i realized the classic Predator is just better and any sequel can't be better than original. I loved everything in P2, the predator itself looked way better than P1, and the city theme was very cool. but i gotta say, after i watched Predators, the new sequel fits the original just better, with pretty much the same features P1 had.

my order goes:

1. Predator
2. Predator 2/Predators - here's a tie
and then:
3. AVP: Requiem - only because of Wolf design
4. AVP

Nothing wrong with P2, we get a cool new pred, new weapons, great action, the lost hunters, the ship, the trophy wall, and if you wanted a replica gun, add a big old laser sight to anything and bingo instant futuristic weapon, even the shotguns had a laser sight on them

Well Iv always made it known that im a big P2 fan, i think its a very underated film even amongst our little universe. Sure the acting wasn't great, the set pieces could have been better but it gave us a new predator.... and a badass at that! i love the P2 design as much as i love the P1. I think also going with Roger for the main role was a nice change to Arnie and his muscles! He was an underdog and everybody loves an underdog. I enjoyed Predators which had better actors and more modern effects etc, but i think if i had them both on blu ray infront of me now and a big tub of popcorn, id choose P2 with its Hammy acting and all 9 times out of 10. Voodoo Magic man!!!

If I put Predator in a Twilight movie, would you like it? I think wristblades and a smart disc would do wonders to slice up an angsty teenage love triangle.

No pred needed....
