SNEAKERS movie props?

I just watched this again last night and I always have loved this movie. Anyone ever make the "little black box/answering machine" or anything else from this movie? I am trying to make the Martin Bryce WANTED flyer, but I can't get a screencap on my DVD player!

Found it! It's the PANASONIC Auto-logic Easa-Phone answering machine model KX-T1450

Thanks MicDavis!

OOOOHHH... I had tucked that idea in the back of my brain and forgot about it! From what I remember the black box should be easier to make than finding that old answering machine! If anybody finds one of them they should try to make a cast of it.

Also, if you do make the black box don't forget to also make the single board that Bishop keeps at the end to make sure the NSA couldn't use it.

What other props would've been cool? The wanted poster... you could get one of the sound detectors Bishop uses when he breaks into cosmo's office. Better yet, you could build one of the motion sensors. You could get the tool that Mother is checking the phone lines with in the beginning of the movie. Speaking of Mother, he had all kinds of cool conspiracy posters on the inside of the van didn't he? You could also try to find the logic probe that they use to play with the black box? Whislter's sunglasses might be cool too.
Anything else?

Found a few screencaps on this site but alas, none of the box. But it did give me a couple more ideas... you could get the mini tape recorder Bishop uses to fool the security machine at Werner's office... or the crinkled up toothpaste tube that leads liz to the only conclusion that Werner needs someone "Anal":lol

How about the high-tech lockpicking device that Martin uses to bypass Gunter's newly installed eletronic keypad lock?

I'm pretty sure they used something like this as the base:

I got some decent pics of the black box last night - I'll see if I can upload them when I get home tonight.

Well, here are a couple of shots. Nothing extremely detailed... since I can't make caps on the computer right now I just setup the digicam in front of the tv. It's a 52" but it's also a projection so you might notice the wavy lines. But it's a start!

I know it's a dark shot but this is supposed to be the back of the main board. I can't figure out if it's a bunch of ic's transistors or if it's just the solder points from the front items. It looks to uniform to be the latter. It must be rows of components.

And this shot is at the end of the movie when the nsa takes it with them but martin keeps the chip.

Like I said they're not the best but they are a start. And if anyone wants to make some higher res caps please please do!!!!
I've always loved this prop and now I'm thinking I might give it a try!

I remember thinking that it looked like the ICs in this view had some kind of reflective or holographic tape applied to their tops.

They are very rainbowish in that shot... only in the other shots it looks more like chrome finish. Either way it's pretty intricate... very small components. I started staring at it last night wondering if it's a found item, or if it was just a prop creation by a solder happy prop guy. Any thoughts? It's size sort of reminds me of a NIC but I'm not sure what they looked like around the time the movie was made.

So what do you all think? Found or Created?

If you look at the edges, they don't all look very square. That's one of the things that made me think that some kind of tape or film had been cut and stuck on the top of the ICs. The bottom right one even looks a bit off-center. Chrome tape perhaps?

Well... I found a guy that's willing to help me track down what this thing might actually be from. He's asking if I can get any of the writing that's on any of the components. I realize that's probably not possible but maybe if someone has the ability to get some better captures we can manage to find something out.

So if anybody could take some high rez caps maybe we can try to enhance them a bit?

OOOH - just realized this was a Universal film... wonder if the box might be lurking on the VIP tour??? Does anyone that's taken the tour remember seeing it?

Still been looking for the tape recorder that Redford used in the movie. This is the closest I've come but it's still not the correct one... anybody know which one they used in the movie?

I just picked up the shell... has anyone gotten any hints on the interior? Any tips?

Also, here's some better screen shots (NOT Blu-ray)...
