Looks can be deceiving, this looks simple at first... but the costume is looking like one trick piece.

I HATE the molded mouth/lips on this thing. Snake eyes NEVER had a rubber mask with a molded mouth!!

Well Snake eyes was a Cartoon so it looked like Spandex to me, or the nice hard plastic of the toy.:lol

But in this case I agree that it should not have lips. It does not really bother me, and will not take away from the film, but the image on the right is much cooler then the one on the left. Lips make it look like a robot to me, instead of a mask. Looking forward to the film either way:thumbsup

I like the picture posted with the photoshopped 'no mouth' on the mask. Now that one looks more like Snake-Eyes to me.

Wasn't 100% canon but it DID hav€ th€ h€art and soul of th€ cartoon AND it had th€ r€al voic€ of m€gatron which was important. But going back to GI Jo€. Anyon€ h€ar anything €ls€ on production? W€ h€ard a bunch of stuff th€n it b€cam€ r€al sil€nt and no mor€ info or updat€s on th€ movi€.

It had the real voice of Megatron? No, Frank Welker was the original voice of Megatron and he didn't provide his voice for megatron for the film. The job went to Hugo Weaving.
Maybe you meant Cullen as the original voice of Optimus Prime. That would make more sense.

I think the Snakeyes mouth looks odd. I don't think it makes sense to have the mouth on it.

i read somewhere (can't remember where) that the mouth was put in so he could breathe, as otherwise he'd be totally covered in rubber.

still though i'd rather he suffocate than look as crap as he does at the moment.

The never even had to use rubber in the first place. Just use a black cloth balaclava like the comic character always wore and he could breathe way better than using a latex full head appliance.

I'm a big fan of G.I JOE but this movie looks like it's going to be garbage based on what I've seen, and whats the point of having a mask with a mouth that doesn't move? Sorry Power Ranger fans, it's stupid on Power Rangers and its stupid on Snake-eyes.

Maybe they are just going for that extra bit of realism and using latex masks with lips the way real ninjas did back in the day? :ninja

Seriously though, they couldve at least used cloth over just the mouth... or ANYthing other than this. This thread has been up too long for me not to comment! I loved GIjoe as a kid and I really have a bad feeling about this.
