Need Help Seeing Out of LED CRT Cosplay

Hey everyone! I'm working on a cosplay where I'm building an LED display using WS2812B addressable LEDs (SMD 5050) that I got from Amazon. The LEDs are going inside a CRT that I’ll be wearing as part of the costume.

I’ve run into a big issue though: I can't see! I’m trying to figure out a way for me to see out of the costume without others being able to tell that I can see. If it helps, there’s about 5 inches of space between my face and the backside of the LEDs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to solve this? I’m open to creative ideas, whether it’s electronics, materials, or any other clever workarounds!

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips!

How about a camera with a display in front of you?

Or a periscope? Or two?

Or projecting onto a 2-way mirror instead of using an LED display?

Unfortunately, I can't use a two-way mirror because the LEDs are an essential part of the design. The LED matrix will be my "face," and it’ll have some interactive features. I'm aiming for a robot look, pieced together from old tech. I’ll definitely try out the periscope idea, but I’m open to any other suggestions. I just want to gather as many ideas as possible since my brain has hit a creative block right now. Thanks for your help.
