Small Soldiers - Chip Hazard and Archer

Hi Kevin,
Ah, I didn't get that email that I can see. MY personal messages read Unread 0, Total 2. Perhaps shot me another one and I'll see if it even shows up ?

In the meantime I did find and purchase a CHIP and ARCHER for my son off ebay. One in the U.K. and the Archer from the U.S. They are both New in the box, I think. But are not here yet. He is just waiting for the day!

In the meantime, he has sculpted an Insaniac, and is working on an Archer. I have to upload these pics for you. He created a box for insaniac too. This is from a 13 yr old with no prior scupting experience. It is soo good. I just would love to get your comments to show him, if you would all take a peek ?
Also, hoping I can figure out how to upload them! Attachments button perhaps ?

And what is this I read about a Sequel ? Really ??

Thanks!
~Rita

Hi Rita. If you click on your forum name it opens up a menu which includes the option to send you a message or an email. The email option is normally only there when somebody has registered an email address. That's what I used.

Linking to live auctions is against forum rules and my email was to point you at a few Chip Hazard auctions that were happening that you might have missed.

Here are some pics from my collection of Small Soldiers! (Disregard our ceiling in one pic, we are still in the process of painting our house:) I hope you enjoy!

I have a jacket coming in the mail that was one of the crew members that worked on the set. When it gets here, I will post a pic! Thanks guys!!

Hey Kevin, how are the boxes coming along?

The base that Chip stands on is complete, as is the wrap around strip that fronts that piece (which entailed completing the accurate triangular crest as best as reference allows).

The front and top edge are complete except for the circuit board pattern.

The back is complete except for one piece of text and the large illustration.

I need to do the interior back that stands behind Chip. I expect that doing this will define the circuit board pattern and allow me to finish the outside of the box.

I'm very busy with paying work right now, for which I am very grateful, so this is taking a back seat, I'm afraid.

Awesome!

Here are some photos of a few more pieces that I have added to my collection. The pictures include 2 on-set crew jackets, a iron-on patch that was only available for a short time at Universal Studios to those that took the "Behind the Scenes Experience" tour in 1998 and a press packet from the 1998 Toy Fair. In it is some black and white photes, a nice piece that displays all the main actors in the film, a booklet discussing the movie, a poster and 3 film cells that are in a plastic stapled to a print out of what each film cell is of.

I hope you enjoy and I will add as I acquire new pieces! Thanks!!

dude dude where could i get one of these? honestly how much do they go for and do they EVEN sell them?

Not really, I heard they go for over a thousand. Never seen them listed anywhere for sale, pretty rare from what I've read.

I've been very busy finishing my Harry Potter stuff (see the Wizard Candy and Daily Prophet threads).

Also, Christmas has me very busy too.

I shall get back on to these after Christmas. I've rearranged my display to make room for them!

Now that christmas is over can you do any more work on it?

Great News Kevin!
My son is getting restless waiting. :)
Perhaps a question for another thread? but does anyone have some tips for buying resins to mold some small soldier toys ? My son, is driving me about nuts, as he wants to replicate the movie ones, exactly, as the Hasbro ones, he says, are not exact. ugh He has already sculpted an Insaniac, and an archer, very good too I might add.
Anyhow, I'm aware of Silpak, but has anyone any adivce on where to go with this ? Where to start ?
Thanks,
Cold in Canada, :)

Hey Guys,
I've finally decided to leave a post on here and the thread at the moment is awesome. Ever since seeing Howlrunner re-paint his Chip Hazard I just had to do mine and I must say it's looking pretty awesome at the moment.
I'll post a picture when it's done. :)
I also look forward to seeing the Commando Elite box by Kevin when it's done. Which I'm wondering, is it going to be available for download? Or could I purchase one?
That's be awesome.

Take Care!

Well here it is, my chip completely repainted Chip Hazard. I've never really painted models or anything so this is the best i could do.
The eyes to me, are the let down. Incredibly hard. I'm happy with everything else. Just not his eyes. Might re-do it sometime. Try and make him more squinty like in the film. Here it is!

Enjoy.
