Ok, folks,

The first batch is away! I dropped them off this morning at the post office. If yours is coming, you will have gotten an email from me (bradley @ robotpirate dot com) via Stamps.com, with either a tracking number in US, or an international delivery confirmation number if outside the US.

You first batch people, please feel free to give feedback or photos as to how they look for you. As always, I am all about customer service, and a happy customer is my goal. I am interested in hearing from those of you who are getting yours silver soldered, especially. The silver soldered cards got a bit of a polish job once I was done soldering, and I think they turned out great.

I have a small stack to solder still, and those will go out this week.

Those of you who are waiting for a new batch, the new batch is ordered, and it should be here in approx. 12 to 14 days. Once that happens, I'll post the link to the store page again, and open up the store entry for orders.

Thank you all,

Sincerely,

-Brad

Second batch of orders went out to the post office this morning. That's everyone except for three of you who ordered after I ran out of stock, and one of you who I am holding the card for till he moves.

When you get yours, please inspect it, let me know if it arrived safe, and if there are any issues.

Here's a blurry/bad cellphone pic of the last few to go out. It's cliche, but the pic doesn't do them justice in my opinion. I am really hoping to get a good camera ahold of these soon, as I haven't been able to snap a good pic of them yet. I try to get a good pic of the reflectivity of the metal, but it just ends up being weird looking in photos.

If I missed any flux after the soldering, or if you notice a smudge or something, give it a wipe with acetone or fingernail polish remover. I tried to get them all as clean and presentable as possible before they went out.

Again, thanks everyone. New order is at the manufacturer, should be here in a week or two.

So in the real world, what is silver soldering used for? Does it usually appear on boards such as the one this was taken from?

I am one of the three.
Could I change my order to get the soldered Rotj board instead of plain, how many credits should i transfer to make this happen?
It looks so much nicer...

I think I'm one of the other 3. I'll keep the silver ROTJ version when it comes in. Can't wait.

Got mine today in the mail and pictures don't do these justice. I'm really happy that I went with the plain version; the color difference is a lot more stark in person but still very subtle, but in the best way possible. It just feels so much richer. If only I had a V2 and clamp to attach this with.:p Thanks much to Sloth and all the child laborers that made this! If it means cool stuff like this, keep 'em working, I say.:lol

Also, I've had this idea for a video game forever, Sloth; can you pull some strings to get me a meeting?;)

Got my card today. Glad I went with the soldered version ROTJ V2 - maybe it's accurate, maybe it's not, but it looks great and provides some nice contrast.

Thanks for doing these, Brad. :thumbsup
