Skele-gro Bottle

I would love to have someone sneek up behind those displays and take a few good pictures of the backsides of those bottles in the wizard world of harry potter.

Here you go! :)

Unfortunately, it was rather dark inside the shop. The tape measure is about 2 or 3 inches in front of the bottle, so there's a bit of perspective to take into account. The last picture of skull is a composite of 2 pictures, trying to get the tape measure straight on, so the skull is close to 2" across. Overall height is right at 12 inches.

I hope someone with sculpting talent can produce a couple of these - I'd be interested in one!

Great pic. Is it me or is the top half of the bottle thinner than the bottom? It looks like they inserted a bottle into a stainless cup.

I would have never thought there was that much detail on the bottle. That's insane!

I think its the angle the photo is taken from. The "ring" around his waist could also be throwing you off.

I guess it's possible but i get the same effect no matter which view i check it on. If i run a line along the bottom sides, there is a gap at the top half. Here is another view.

Can anyone get screen caps of the bottle on the table?
It looks as if the skull (Bottle top) has a spine attached that somehow fits into the bottle neck.

Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting on this thread but let me tell you, you have all made my night. I HAVE LOVED this prop from the first time I saw it in CoS. If anyone gets around to making a run of these, please let me know. But in the meantime, these pics are awesome. I have never seen so many pics in one place and the measurements too...I'm speechless :eek

Can anyone name the font on the botlle?
I'd love to find the font and make some potion labels for my daughter.

Can we figure out what it says on the neck? That's the only part I'm stummped on. Either way, I'm gonna take a crack at this one, shouldn't take long.
I've got a base picked out, as well as a skull to use. Even got my decals ready for the art . . .if we can get the neck wording figured out, it's a go!

This is one of the props that I have always wanted to do myself :) I am surprised that you don't see too many people doing it. I am very interested in hearing all about the materials that you will be using. What type of bottle did you use? I have a glass bottle that is a pretty good shape that I was going to use. Unfortunately it is smaller than I would like but I am OK with it. I had thought that I would need to cover my bottle with clay. Is that what you will be doing as well?
How are you doing a decal? Do they have printer paper that you can use to make a decal?
Good luck with your project, I am sure that it will be awesome when you are done :)

So far so good. Gonna finish the back tommorow.

Once done, I'll get a better shot of this with some primer on it. Hope you like!

Looks totally awesome!!!! What type of clay are you using?? Keep of the good work, I can't wait to see your progress :)

A great start to a very cool project. Looking forward to seeing how this one comes out!
