Sith Acolyte Costume WIP - My first time full costume build

Looking really awesome and learning from your build techniques. Looking forward to seeing it all complete!

Outstanding work!!
Very inspirational indeed, you have taken this Acolyte build to the next level. Your paint work and detail is amazing.
Your kids will be so proud of their father with an amazing costume like that. I have no doubt their costumes will be equally awesome!!
In fact i love the look of this costume so much that I have started to build my own one. Probably end up with the Lord Addras version.
We will definitely have to meet at CE2 for a photo opportunity with my Malgus. A whole bunch of guys are bringing their Acolytes over from the UK also so we could do the entire storming the Jedi temple scene! lol

Oh my God, you all are so kind!! As I am such in hurry to get the thighs finished, gloves and fabric choosen and bought, I just forgot to have a look at the thread... I am sorry! And I am speechless, I really don´t know how to express in words my gratitude.

Robert69 - StewYZF750 - Acrylikhan - zookone - vaderjeff1744 - Darth Serberus - moshi, thank you so much!

... makes me want to return to my old costume.
... and so the circle is complete!! It was your build (http://www.therpf.com/f24/swtor-sith-acolyte-warrior-helmet-adraas-style-pic-heavy-133258/) Simon and I studied before we began our build. :)

Thanks muchly for your compliment, Darth Serberus! :$ That would be great... to meet you with your breathtaking malgus! That´s unbelievable!!:D

Please excuse, that this will be just a very quick update. Time flies and there is still too much to do... :wacko

As the thighs turned out very well, I used the same technique for building the shins.
Again I started with fierfeks files and devided the surface in segments:

The PVC sheets were heated to the distortion temperature, bended by hand and glued piece by piece on the foam:

Finally I added some (not accurate) details and sprayed on the primer:

Just this minute I did some weathering...
...but now I will leave work for the day. It´s a wonderful roaring night here, cheers! :cheers

Once again we used the SWTOR Trailers for reference; and I am always fascinated by the slow-motion scenes, they show so many great details:

AWESOME UPDATE!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING! I've VERY MUCH ENJOYED seeing your continued updates! I'm VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD to seeing the finished costume! IT'S GOING TO BE EPIC!!! I'M POSITIVELY DROOLING OVER YOUR AWESOME WEATHERING!!! If you don't mind my asking with regards to your weathering technique, are you spraying the whole thing silver, then applying the black, & finally sanding through the black to expose the silver below, or are you just spraying the pieces black, & then using a dry brush technique for the silver detailing? Whatever you're doing, IT LOOKS FANTASTIC!!! GREAT JOB!!!:thumbsup :cool

This build is very impressive and by far the best looking Sith Acolyte costume that I've seen yet! You've done such a superb job using my pep files to create this costume. I'm definitely eager to see how everything turns out.

I have no pics at the moment, but I want to wish you all a very nice weekend!!

Tomorrow we will be going to CEII here in Germany and we are absolutely excited. :D

Without my kids I wasn´t able to get the costume "finished". "Oh Dad, come on! It doesn´t matter that you have no belt, no lightsaber, no neckseal, no gloves, no robe etc.!" Thanks to my kids for their encouragement!!
(But the robe - at least something I call robe - is done now, after 4 hours speed-sewing.)

It would be great, if we would have the opportunity to meet you friends at CEII!! :cheers

Pics, next week...

HAVE A GREAT TIME AT CEII! Wish I could be there to meet you, but time & $$$ are in short supply right now!:( Hopefully I'll make the next Celebration here in the US! CAN'T WAIT to see some pics once you're back & have time to post! HAVE FUN MY FRIEND!!!:cool
