Silicone P1 Suit Evolution. Pg41 Hands Video 19/07/13

Took another photo to try show the colours now it has been clear coated. also did alittle more to it, the laser shroud is installed, i decided to use LEDS...... for now anyway.

For the lens i ripped the old lens out of my old bio , and put a layer of mesh inbetween the 2 smokey lenses, i quite like the effect even though it is not silver.

on the inside after i hot glued the lens, i then used epoxy sculpt to build up a ridge all the way around, the red dots are where i hope to drill 5mm holes , and then insert yellow leds, for the flashy eye thingy. i said HOPE ;)

I do not think the led idea will work, so to save myself soldering over 20 leds around the outside, i have orderd 4 LUXEON STAR III leds, for anyone who doesnt know, a single red LUXEON makes my whole P2 display glow. so i am hoping 2 of these will give me a decent effect on the visor.

the only down side is, i will have to remember to close my eyes before i flash them, or i will have instant fail laser eye surgery lol.
 
Hey Lee that bio IS awesome! as well as you ;)

as for the flashing eyes . There was a member wiht a thread for the flashing eyes thta it look prety good. I can't recall who posted but I'm looking for it.

Yeah i found te diagram, it worked off 4 leds, but i could not get a bright enough flash, so i am pursuing diferent paths.

and you know i will never agree with your 1st sentence Lem.
 
Bright Red Leds installed. this is pretty much complete now apart from the flashy eye thingy, which to be honest is just a bonus if i can get it working to a level i am happy with.

it is not bright enough Brad. also my Luxeons just arrived, i wired one up quickly, and yes indeed, i did nearly blind myself. whenmy vision returns properl i have a few ideas. :)
 
Well, im having trouble getting the leds not to hot spot, the best i have come up with so far is this, but i am knackerd now and feeling more than alittle queesy from the leds flashing me again whilst i was wiring them up.

2 luxeons here, under normal living room lighting. i have 4 here in total, but i think that maybe overkill.

i found some folders that were a white semi translucent at Walmart. they were like a buck for 6-8. you might be able to find something similar that you could put in between the LED and the visor to help diffuse the light.
 
Thanks D, not sure what i am going to do at present. i think i am going to move onto something else for a while. getting alittle ocd on it now.

WOW man if you turn them on when yours heads inside you won't be able to see for a week . love what you have done so far..
