I still have so so so much to do on this build its not funny. but things are moving quick at home right now, so fingers crossed ill be back to my hobby by the end of April

Well then !!!!

Called it DONE on this ROOF CLIMBING edition of my P1 suit. It took abit of a bashing in the house move, so i figured i may as well call it done. ( hense Andrews adding of it to the suit thread )

Soooooo this will NOW be a evolving thread. even though this will be the one and only evolution. ( i am going to do it properly this time. )


Basically apart from Carlarts armour , and Mannowars Shins. and the Guantlets i have, i dislike everything about the old suit now. ( lets hope carl actually comes through on the medipack eh )
aaaaaaaaaaanyway, along with my New P1 head, i will be sculpting a new skin suit at least ( possibly hands and feet at a later date ) And possibly the rest of the armour if needed.

So today it started, i have just spent several hours being duct taped up by my wife, ( who took alittle toooooooo much pleassure in cutting me out ) I will be taping it closed again in the coming week or so.
Then fill it up.
Then i am going to fibreglass it, and then remove the inards, so i will have a nice sturdy base on which to sculpt.

The 2 main things i will be doing different aaaaaaaaare.


Head silicone, with a resin underskull, and manually operated mouth mechanics ( will be shown when the time is right , WITH a huntorial/how to . )
Body silicone, TRYING it purely because of the naysayers, foam blah blah blah.

aaaaanyway, as i am nearly done with bubba, this is the ONLY big project i will be working on after. so i will try to keep this updated at each move i make.

I do not have much left to do on bubba .....sculpt wise, and as soon as i have moulded him i will be using the clay on the body sculpt, which should be ready by then as i have to pack it then fibreglass it.

anyhoo, to show its not just idle chit chat, here is the duct tape dummy taped up apart from a section on his back which will enable it to be packed easier.

ran out of expanding foam so only full to the knees on both legs hehehe. guess it will have to be newspaper or other random crap for stuffing now.

Not after perfection, just the best I can possibly do, and i feel comfortable enough now in my sculpting to think i could do a skin i will be happy with.


Oh yeah ill still be painting up my masks, purely because i enjoy it

Lee, I don't know if you have Wal-Marts over there, but I was able to empty out the plastic bag recycle bins and fill my suit quickly that way, as I ran out of bags and stuff at the house

Hope the hard work pays off for you buddy, you deserve to be fully suited and looking the bomb at a convention. will your skin be a pure P1 or take influences from other designs?

P1 only now, i originally did want to have influences from all the films, but i decided a while ago , there really is only ONE predator i wat to imitate in a suit.

Ok maybe i will do a P2 one day also, but for now hes P1 all the way

Did you use spray foam or a 2-part? Curious, so as not to make the same mistake, LOL...

I used what i had left of a can of spray foam. i am thinking one of 2 things happend.

1 the can was not shook enough.
2 i should have done it in layers allowing more air to get to it to cure.

It does seem to be curing slowly, but im kind of impatient to get going grrr

ill give it a few days see how i get on. if its still a sticky mess, i will just shove 128 newspapers in him , popcorn packing , whatever, just so i can keep this moving

Hmmm, that's really odd. Anywho, yeah, I was planning on spraying in small layers, versus trying to fill it on one go; hopefully that theory works, LOL...

yeah sounds about right, i just had a brain fart and dumped what i had left, although there was more there than i expected in my defense hehe.
