Ok,  did a bit more. still have to do the right cheek.   more work on the edge of the dome too.   what do you guys think of the laser shroud?  i tried to keep the aesthetic going with it. but i'm not sure if i like it.  maybe something more mechanical looking, like the circles in the jaws maybe????

It's turning out great!  I would leave the shroud the way it is.  It blends nicely but still get's the job done.

Ditto the above. Leave it. It blends well and does not draw your eye to it only. This is turning out really good. Looks great!

About the laser shroud, have you asked the artist what he thinks it would look like and let him draw it? Or has he given you the permission to do whatever you think fits/looks good (as in not provided anymore sketches or drawings of the bio then what you already have)?

yeah, the guy has been pretty incommunicado since i got the go ahead.  i give him sculpting updates and not since the first one has he messaged me back.  i will ask him though.  because i am also curious as to how he pictured his paint to look.

YES, do that. Even if he did not intend anything more then just this drawing in the first place, it might sparks some ideas for him. If he doesn't respond or does not want to sketch more of it, then you have done what you can. 

I like how the bio is coming along.  Personally though, I think the laser shroud might be a bit too far down. Maybe if it was more at eyebrow level (or more incorporate in the brow), rather then eye level? Mechanical look to it sounds nice and could work with the more organic feel with front side of the bio. Kind of balancing the organic- with the mechanical feel, you know?

yeah i def feel that the shroud is too low,  but i want both sides to have the horn that comes off the eyebrow.  i really like that part of it and want it to look the same.   if you have an idea, let me have it!  i may try putting it up higher.  i'll post a pic of what that looks like. thanks for the input Nicole.

Looking good Daman! One small suggestion - when you take pics for the next update, can you try to take one at the same angle as the drawing? Then we can see and compare the drawing and sculpt.

I had this idea just now, why not make it the same way on both sides, without the shroud then work on it but instead of sticking out, like inside the bio

ok here is the pic J requested,  and also the different shroud placement.   what do you guys think.  i like it,  but the other way looked more sleek to me.

i know what you mean Jose,  like the P2 right?  thing is,  i dont want it to dig in too much into where the undermask will be.

i moved the shroud placement higher.  but i might be moving it a little lower and changing the shape a bit.
