Hey Russ, just saw this thread. I have several others of your Sonics (4th, 4th with sound, 5th with sound, and 7th/8th) and love them all. If it's not too late, I'd like to be in for one.

Russ, I'd be interested to know, is the profile of the sliding neck piece going to be more like the toy, or more like your war prototype/Baker sonic? Specifically the thickness of the first indented section immediately above the 3 painted bands section. This diagram should hopefully explain what I mean.

With 'this bit' being the same thickness as the green bit on the toy (and the McGann sonic), but on your prototype and 3rd/4th/5th Doctor sonics 'this bit' is thinner, being the same thickness as the red bit. Hope that makes sense.

The proto WAR sonic I used parts of a Baker just to get an idea. But the run sonic will be same size as the toy

Thanks for the info Doctor Whom. Doctor Octoroc, are you planning on offering your Dark Eyes Eight Doctor Sonic again soon? Russ, really looking forward to seeing the progress pics. I've got my money waiting for The War Doctor Sonic and your Eight Doctor Sonic when you do another run. I ordered six inner units for the Personalize your Sonic Screwdriver set and bought four Trans Temporal Sonics just so I can use the inner units for adding sounds to all of my future Sonics!
