Yeah I'm kinda surprised too. From what I've heard it sounds like the grip doesn't have much room. I would have thought the internals would have been based on the dimensions of your previous SFX sonics so you could mod the older internals to run wiring to the tip for a light. That way you could have light and sound.

Yeah I wanna order another one of those for myself. I have one but the grip won't untheard and I wanted to change the spring for one that is slightly lighter gauge. That aside it's always nice to have more than one.

This is how I have done my light. Spent the weekend in the workshop on the lathe and milling machine making the battery holder and cutting out the slot for the batteries.

It's pretty tight in there and I only had room for light. I am now just waiting on some larger ring magnets so it will fully operate.

Just got mine today and I absolutely love it.

Needless to say I'll be getting whatever is offered from Russ and need to invest in a stand or holder for these masterpieces.
 
Russ hasn't been around much lately. I imagine his free time is limited these days, and what little he has is devoted to taking care of current orders. I am confident, however, that with patience, he'll address any lingering questions/requests, and update us about future projects.

It claims light and sound, but judging by the size of the box, this can only be about the size of a pen... Maybe it can be easily modern to fit?

Is this the topic you wanted to post this in? It's about an 11th doctor's sonic. This topic is about the war doctor's sonic. Don't mean to be rude, but I think you'll get more response in another topic.
 
It's a very cheap 11th Doctor sonic with a tiny sound/light module which may be modable to fit the war doctor's screwdriver for those who want sound/light :)

Sadly, the post made more sense before the predictive text kicked in...
