Sidkit and me, racprops

Here it is plain and simple. If you dont like THIS community's stance on recasting go away because youre not wanted here. Dont let the door hit you on the way out. Im tired of seeing the same newbs CONSTANTLY chiming in about how nebulous and immoral it is and going after folks who were pros in this business when they were in diapers.
Again, If you dont like how we do things here then get out. We were having this discussion long before you poked your heads in here and grey area or not its how this community polices itself and we dont need some FOB newbs coming in here thinking they know better then those who ESTABLISHED this community. Youre not scoring points here. Youre not giving anyone an epiphany. We know who and what we are here and if youre going to stand up and defend the actions of of 'recasters' youre persona non grata. Manwoaname...you just cant seem to help but be ground zero on the wrong side of just about every thread like this so Im directing this at you: we dont want to hear your backhanded justifications of recasting any more. This isnt a free speech issue as this is a private forum with its own set of guidelines and Im sorry you dont get enough attention at home but there's a whole lot of us that are really tired of your attitude. I will re-iterate (and no, we cant just be friends)...if you dont like it then leave. Youre a borderline troll at best.

QFT, warrants a repost.

At least this thread makes it glaringly clear who not to do business with.

Propstuf, that is a most excellent read and greatly informative for those who weren't aware of all details.:thumbsup

no. what is pathetic is a recast prop has more press to those that arent in the prop replica club, with as you would say "trivial" knowledge.

and its even more pathetic, that you dont understand that there are other people in this world other than yourself and the people here.

but thats ok. you have your small little world, and i have a real one.

No, he's right, you are a borderline troll.

Propstuff, that's more like it..well said, Rich is good guy and got wronged, you just put it into perspective in my opinion

I stand corrected! You're right! Not only a text book example of trollish behavior, but I'll go as far as to say, I'm appalled by the complete lack of respect that's been shown to such established members of this community.

What do you mean borderline?

Well I will say this. This thread has been very educational. I was aware of Rich producing BRs many years ago and I have surfed his website reading his build articles and looking at the pictures. Not only on the BR but the other stuff too.

I cannot count the number of times I've bid on various versions of Coyle C&S and got sniper-ed 10 seconds before the auction ended. I gave up for a long while and focused on lightsabers. At some point I snagged a Hartford and have it on display now. I also had an Offworld version but it was too small for my hand. It had pretty rickety construction as well.

So I have to ask, is the CS&T available? If so, where?

Totally agree. I've had issues with this numbnutz before. Total tool.

The last thing I want to do is stir up this hornets nest any more, but it is ontopic. Isn't the OffWorld blaster also a recast? I thought they were pretty notorious, I know they ripped off Matsuo's BSG blaster and his Equilibrim Cleric Guns.

For what it's worth, regarding Off-world:

2003: Conety Kato working for Hartford Japan creates working airsoft and cap firing totally machined, production made guns influenced by the 1993 Japanese one-up and Richard Coyle’s C&S v3. Monsters in Motion later sells two “recast” all resin kit versions of this gun under the name M2019 before the Off-World version is made.

2006: Off-World Mfg. makes a machined and production manufactured version of the gun. It contains die-cast and molded ABS plastic parts. It is sold Primarily through Monsters in Motion. It combines the functions and style of the C&S guns and the Hartford Japanese guns. It also takes off the Steyr markings to put on its own non-cannon, but movie inspired text.

So its NOT just me? :lol

No it isn't.

I've asked him to stop posting in threads I start since he assumes a lot, doesn't research his replies and his replies are off topic... and he disregarded my request.

As I recall, this is the third thread where he speaks as if recasting isn't a bad thing. :confused

Hard to say, it is a lot like the Hartford, which was inspired by my Model 3/4, not a recast, they built their own tooling, and used a airsoft S&W pistol instead of a Bulldog, but some of my little tells/flaws show up...

Rich

I know there was a thread floating around where Matsuo pointed out all the tells showing they recast his Cleric guns, and there was another where he mentioned the BSG blaster. I suppose maybe they could have cleaned up their act since then, though it just seems more likely that they'd keep the status-quo.
