Sideshow/Legacy Life-size 'The Child' figure

Mine arrived today! As many have said the pictures don't do it justice, and I'm actually not at all bothered by the rosy cheeks. Only think I noticed is the paint on the nostrils is too bright and I definitely want to tone it down a bit. Do you guys think I should use baby wipes and a q tip? Or watered down alcohol on a q tip? I want to leave some on but obviously don't want any damage to the green paint. Let me know what you think!

I'll probably wait for someone to offer a mod kit or sell files to print mods to facilitate articulation. Adam's way seems simple enough but doesn't account for the legs, and I don't really have the tools or expertise for Cosplay Chris's mod. I'd be happy with just the arms and legs moving and have it be stable enough for it to stand on its own but haven't looked too much into it. Any tips appreciated :)

edit: lol realized how unflattering these pictures look, if you're still thinking about buying it please don't let these influence your purchase.

Using a baby wipe worked well for me. It might be quicker than a damp cloth or q-tip, but the end result would be the same. Using water is fine. Alcohol is not necessary. I don't think it's possible to remove the green paint as the material itself is green.

Watching Adam savage’s video, he mentioned the rosy cheeks would be more adherent to the actual prop, as they’re needed to account for the way the camera shoots him. Does his statement sound correct?

Has anyone found any sort of dust proof display case or dome for this yet? I'm hoping to avoid having to custom build a display case for it, but it looks like i might have to.

Still amazed that no one has made a 3D printed articulated body for the sideshow Grogu.
I know! Only thing holding me back is I'm worried the head will droop too much if I try modifying it, not as worried about the arms and legs. I'd pay good money for the files if anyone attempts it though. The most doable seems replacing the body with the 20$ Child but still hesitant to try it.

Finally got mine. It's really beautiful!! I love seeing all the modifications, but I'm hesitant to make major changes to something I spent so much on. I'm currently looking for a display case. The ones that will fit him are almost as much as the figure!!!

I'm really surprised there hasnt been any new video or photos of the Hot Toys version since its due in like1-3 months.

‘Was wondering the same thing. Kept hoping the little bugger would show up as a last minute Christmas surprise from Hot Toys...

I am personally not in a rush for the hot toys version. I’m hoping that maybe they saw the things people liked about the Sideshow version and the issues people had regarding the Sideshow prototype and are reworking it.

Got mine today (pre-ordered 2/2/20)... my daughter is having a cuteness apoplectic fit. :) Now, to mod or not to mod... that is the question...

Which mod is this? I would also be interested in the files if it means I just have to replace the head onto the new body.
