Beautifully made and very "life-like"First eyelid test went very well! This is the raw silicone, right from the mold. Not a drop of paint yet.
To pick up from where I left off, after making the snap mold I ran a 1630 positive. Traditionally you’d take that and clay it up, remould, and produce a corrected positive. I didn’t feel like the extra cost and work was necessary so I just corrected it with Apoxie sculpt. Will work just fine for this. I then sculpted the eyes as you would a prosthetic, and then laid up a quick cutting edge and molded it with a 1630 dump mold. It was rushed and sloppy but you know, it cuts the edges very cleanly, so I’m happy enough.
I’m going to run a few sets of these so I have replacements and paint them all at once down the road.
Without further ado, here are the pics. Again, no paint on the lids yet. I also haven’t edited this photos at all, the edges were not blended off in any way.

I thought about it, but I feel so bad, lol. Go for it!Is anyone working on the little handcuffs yet? That's what I want to make!!
Mine finally arrived today. Over a month after literally everybody else for whatever dumb, frustrating reason.
The rosy cheeks weren't that bad on mine. I used a baby wipe to remove some of the redness anyway. I didn't have to touch the eyelids or the nose.
Here's a side-by-side with Sideshow's other baby.

Looks like Hot Toys added a movable jaw to their version, which means the head is rubber since i dont see a joint. If thats the case, I dont know why they cant get rid of the ear seam and do those the same way. They barely move.

One reason I don't buy toys like that. Don't want to spend a fortune on something that will break down in a few years. That is quite concerning in terms of longevity. I’ve heard a few times about ot Toys figures with seamless arms breaking down and cracking over time. I hope that whatever rubber they use here is built to last a little better.
Exactly what I was going to mention. I LOVE the Dark Knight batman figures but have always held off because of their rubber suits. Sooo much money for something I'm only going to be pissed at after a while.Hottoys rubber work is notorious for falling apart. Their Batman figures from Batman Begins/The Dark Knight (the rubber suit before the upgrade) had such a bad reputation they reissued them with a different rubber formulation. When you pay that much for a figure it should last.
