My Life-Sized 1978 R2-D2 Kenner Action Figure Project

Slowly moving through several of my projects and wanted to share the progress on my life-sized 1978 Kenner R2-D2 Action Figure. He's all printed and assembled, just need to do a little seaming and sanding. (Nevermind the red portion of his dome, I ran out of grey filament and didn't want to wait for my shipment to come in so I used what I had on hand.)

This is not my file set, I purchased it from Etsy, but hopefully soon enough I'll have my version available............

Not sure why but think I want one of these more than a film accurate R2!
Maybe it's the kid in me trying to get out.

For right now they'll just have to go to the back of my man cave, but the reality is I won't be able to keep them all. And some may have to sit in storage because I do want to get a table at this year's Phoenix Fan Fusion and display them there. I'm also going to try and make a giant card back for Luke out of plywood, and then maybe see if I can find a way to make a bubble for it!
